It runs way better than the last one. Seemed the old one (prolly around 13-14 yrs old, 10 SEER) was always running to keep it cool. The new one doesn't run near as much. Quieter too! Has a cool lighted touch pad thermostat, you can set it to come on/off at different temps during the day.

was your old model also a trane?

I paid $9600 about 15 months ago to replace outside and inside unit. Took 3 days for them to get old unit out of attic and new one in. Does run alot better. They also added another intake vent on other side of house. It was a lot of money, but considering where we live, we HAVE to have AC.

Where is your grass?

You must not be aware of our little water shortage here. Plus the fact we went 11 months without a drop of rain last year. Watering once a week just wasn't enough to keep it green last year. We're getting more rain this year, so I've over seeded the whole yard plus fertilized the shiz out of it. Hopefully get it going again.
