People actually do that??@Toujours Pret
You hit on one of my biggest pet peeves ever.
I can not stand the people who are religious and tip with prayer cards. If you want to tip 25% and leave a prayer card the ok but that never happens. It usually the same people who go out to eat after church and judge the people waiting on them for being at work on a Sunday. ……
so ya. Good one.

I went out to lunch with 17 people from my new church (first visit), and we wound up with one tab. We all kicked in 20%.Everyone I know who works in restaurants says Sunday early afternoon is by a long shot the worst shift of the week.
It makes we religiously inclined people look bad when we act stingy and leave prayer cards.I went out to lunch with 17 people from my new church (first visit), and we wound up with one tab. We all kicked in 20%.
I don’t understand people. If you can’t afford a real tip, at least 15%, go to a cheaper restaurant. My first job 51+ years ago was busing tables in an Air Force restaurant. Some things you never forget.
Martin Luther didn’t like James (he called it a “right strawy gospel” IIRC, preferring scripture focused more on Grace), but to me, if your guiding scriptures don’t motivate you to get up and serve Creation, something has gone seriously awry.It makes we religiously inclined people look bad when we act stingy and leave prayer cards.
or as my buddy James would say….
James 2:
and one of you say unto them, “Depart in peace; be ye warmed and filled,” without giving them those things which are needful to the body, what doth it profit?
Off Topic, but has anyone every told you that you’re better than Google?Martin Luther didn’t like James (he called it a “right strawy gospel” IIRC, preferring scripture focused more on Grace), but to me, if your guiding scriptures don’t motivate you to get up and serve Creation, something has gone seriously awry.
Interestingly (to me), the sermon today was based on James 1:17-27. Small world.
Anyway, let’s be nice to our servers. Theirs is not an easy job. Smile, smile, smile, aching feet, rude customers, cranky kitchen folk, keep smiling.
