Neverending MBRO memory thread

Not mine! At least overall.

Unfortunately, they vary a ton. But every veteran has the right to go to any medical center in the entire system. We had veterans from Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia who felt it was worth the trip, and we were privileged to serve them.
I’ve always wondered that. Had heard many veterans say they had to wait too long and were pushed thru basically. Always thought If all were like that would have been more noise

What I think is funny (and sad) is that regular medicine (I don’t say civilian, because the VA isn’t military) isn’t held to the same benchmarks as the VA.

Hubs (non-vet) has recurrent skin cancer on his right cheek. He just gets it burned off with liquid nitrogen every year or so. When we first moved here, his new doc wanted him to see a dermatologist and called in a consult. It took seven months. Seven. Months. In the VA, they have to get a specialist referral set up in 30 days (VA or outside), or be prepared for a Congressional (nasty letter and follow up from the local US Congresscritter) if the veteran escalated. Would be nice if the same pressure could be applied by non-vets in the for-profit sector.

I will. SIL and inlaws are mad at me. She's here from Texas, Florida first, and wanted to spend the night. Tiffany has corona, and who knows what all germs her and her crew have been around. Smh!
I was going to ask how your (#SorryNotSorry) horrible and clueless in-laws were reacting to what has been happening to Tiffany. No surprises, sadly. They really do seem to be the most clueless and self-absorbed people on the face of the earth. Again, sorry, but not sorry. ☹️

They had been a tad better, but I don't get how they see no problem with her sister, her daughter, son and his gf spending the night. Like I said, Texas to Florida, then to Georgia, not counting the shopping. Heck, I'm gonna strip down and Lysol tonight.

After all of the health issues, her daughter deployed and also has to come to the realization again her side of the family are horrible people, Tiffany is one strong woman and person. If I ever complain about anything remind me that there is always worse. Geez.

She is a tough cookie

Before I forget, lazy bones was freaking out today because I was back. I'll say, kinda don't blame him, Tiffany is still sick, and we've got like 20 positive cases. Anyway, when I saw him doing everything to avoid me, I had several people tell him I'd tested positive, but came back because I didn't have symptoms. Was it wrong, yes, but I did enjoy watching him freaking out all day 😂

Was anything done at all with the machinery while you were lolly-gagging around at home? Or did they save it all for you?
They were shorthanded, but still looks like normal. Thry sent more home last night because of exposure, or being sick.
