@NorCalVol67 , is Yellowstone really pretty close to grand tetons?
The South entrance of Yellowstone is about an hour to Moose Wyoming which is the main entrance to Teton National Park. But much of the drive is along Jackson Lake and viewing the Tetons.
It really depends on where you want to go in Yellowstone. It is huge and takes a long time to get around. Also, which entrance can determine which side of the Tetons you see. Both are great.
Most people want to see Old Faithful, and if that is something you have always wanted to see I will not discourage that. But it is anticlimactic. There are a lot of impressive Geysers in the park.
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone is spectacular.
They have Grizzlies and you can’t shoot them.
