Neverending MBRO memory thread

I do, but still concerned about her. We just went and walked the beach when Tiffany woke up. We found out a 14 year old kid had the same thing happen just above us while we were going to St George. We actually pased an ambulance on our way off the cape. He sadly didn't make it, they said he got pulled out too far, and panicked trying to swim straight back in. We only got in about knee deep today, red flags so I didn't want Tiffany and the girls trying to swim after yesterday. I just hope I see the lady again, that'll help me.
A follow up would help if you can. I’ve grown up around the ocean at different times of my life, so I know what to do if you get caught up in one, I taught my son also. Sadly, a lot people don’t know or just panic. I hate to hear that for that child and his family.

Rip tides are serious biz. I think, iirc, Mexico Beach is the only one that does not experience RIP tides due to its location.
That was my favorite part about that place, and we may actually go there before we leave. We went 7 years ago, and I didn't have to worry about the kids or Tiffany one bit.

Question: Does Mexico Beach (Town) still exist?

That is absolutely awful.

We generally always use a float or board just to have something just in case. That water is powerful, and it's easy to panic when you're going backwards. We have always had talks on the way down, and even each day we go when we're hear.

Surprisingly, I was impressed with how much was built back. We went through there the other day, and it was booming. Nice crowd at tge beach, and lot of stuff still being rebuilt. There was still some empty lots where I knew houses were, but I was happy to see what I did.

Tiffany pulled up the story about that little boy, just sad. Said the rip pulled like 4 people 150-200 yards out. They got to and saved everyone but him. They found him out past the others floating. I couldn't imagine having to drive back from vacation without one of my kids, while they were being transported dead.

😞, that’s just......no words

Girls wanna go down the road and walk the beach early. Someone told them the vest spot to find good shells.

Gonna hit the beach for a bit, cook a meatloaf, then go on a shark fishing guide. Just 3 hours in the bay, but hopefully we catch a few.
