My mom, in her younger days of course, could hang over a hood of a car, lawnmower, etc and diagnose the problem and fix it. Unfortunately, I tagged along with dad, who couldn’t do much with any kind of repair. Long story short, even when I go for a oil change, all I hear from the mechanics is “blah blah, oil replaced and do you need this blah blah replaced?” I always nod my head like I really know. I know, I know, I should have paid more attention to mom here.

Not sure yet, didn't get into it today. I did check the battery, and didn't notice any loose wires at a glance. I'm leaning towards a safety switch, it happened soon as I disengaged the blade. May just be coincidence, but perfect timing.
