Never thought I would say this.

I thought the Wyoming home loss was an all time low. However, we haven't improved one inch in the decade plus since that debacle and set a new standard for embarrassment today.

The sad thing is that there is no reasonable bright spot in the near future. Football today is largely based on your QB, and we will likely have Guarantano as our starter for the next 20 games!?!? I can't imagine Harrison Bailey starting as a True Freshmen. Guarantano makes me long for the days of Justin Worley!

This loss was way worse than the Wyoming loss. You actually think Bailey sticks with us after what he just saw?

In my 40 year Vol student and fan span, I can't remember a loss worse than this. How can that many 4&5 star players play like they didn't know what they were doing and had no self respect. I'm sorry to the players but, that's what it looked like.

I'm only 28. I dont actually remember the 98 championship game. Despite enduring more bad seasons than good and some embarrassing losses, I've stayed interested and excited even, watching even to the last whistle in big blowout losses. I've considered myself a big passionate fan.

I'm no longer interested in Tenn football. The program hasnt been interested in actually winning in awhile now. There's more to life than sports.

This could be one of those games that changes a season, a program.

I'm expecting "see ya" comments. I'm not boycotting, quitting like some of these guys. I've seriously, legitimately lost interest in watching them play. If I get a chance to watch and it's a close game, I'll tune in. Outside of Dobbs, the program has been a dumpster fire and this is an all time low. I'm just going to stop planning my life around gameday. I just dont care anymore. Obviously, Tenn athletics doesnt.
You’re not far fetched or alone. I can’t remember the last time I logged into this site or visited. I didn’t watch the game today and I’m not sure if I watched any last year. Looks like I made the right call though, team is still hot steaming garbage. I just hope I live to see a good UT football team again....and I’m 32!

I'm 65 and been a die hard Vol fan since I was in grade school. Never have I felt like I do now. Just so tired of having such high hopes go down the toilet. Can't do it any more and that really pains me.

Sour, I have followed Australian Rules for 5 years now. Takes some getting used to, and television access is scarce, but it is more fun than watching this. I hate to say this, but I wish I had watch a soccer game today. And I never watch soccer.

Steam? It's like they all grew up in home with central heat and air. Nobody uses steam anymore. They don't even know what steam is.
Exactly getting sick of the lame outdated silly ass maxims too. And people spouting them off like it means anything to anyone, anymore.

The only "steam" Ol' Cornbread and his underbellies "puts on" is what's wafting off that giant dinosaur turd they just laid across Shield Watkins Field.

Ill see the status of the season here and don’t plan to watch again this year unless they somehow rip off like 4 straight wins. That might tune ppl in again. What I thought was going to be a possible 8-5 season is gone. All we can hope for now is 3 wins if that. Pruitt better think really hard about his role going forward if he really wants to keep coaching this team. Something wasn’t there today and it’s frustrating and sad all at the same time. I’ll be really interested to see if recruiting tanks over the next few weeks or stays stable for the time being. A loss to BYU and or UTC I think Fulmer needs to say well we tried it’s not working out. I wish you luck in your future endeavors...

I mean i’m not done, I’m 26 and I think i’ll always wear orange, but people stopped earning the benefit of the doubt a long time ago. In the good moments in the past few years, it’s been miraculous personal performances bailing us out. In the worst times (oh god, so many of those), it’s been non chalance or people thinking that “good enough” will carry us through, because it won’t, and it hasn’t for as long as i’ve been old enough to understand football and how football programs work

Why wouldn’t he. A team that completely ignores the run game because their QB needs to “get in a rhythm.” He should want to come here and throw the ball 50 times a game, even when the situation calls for run.

The apathy is real. I’m in a group text with 6 other UT fans and nobody is particularly upset at this loss. It’s actually a lot of joking about how bad we’ve become. UTAD may have killed the goose that lays the golden egg

Not going that far. Gen Neyland deserves our respect.

I was frustrated I couldn’t watch this game. I instead spent time on the lake with my family and friends. I monitored the score as some played music and I sang along to music. I was laughing by the end of the game. Tennessee just lost at home to a two loss non power 5 team.

I am no longer conflicted about going hiking during Tennessee football. I had a feeling that our defense would be bad, but our offense has no excuse. I can’t help but wonder if these kids are taking money to play like crap, but I think we are just that bad. Time to plan some hikes. I need that much more than I need this.

Same here. I don't think I have ever felt so low as a fan.

I barely even care. That’s how I know something has changed inside of me. I have sacrificed a lot to be available to watch them be terrible for a long time. They will have to earn my interest. I have been very supportive of them. This program has been ruined. It’s up to these kids to fix it.

My first game was Notre Dame in 79 and I've tried to watch or listen to every game I could since then but I'm done it's just too frustrating

I’m 47 and have raised two rabid Vol fans (who I apologized to today) and I’ve never been less interested in TN football than I’ve been in 2019. I simply don’t care anymore. I don’t have a power T on my vehicle anymore, I’ve barely came on this board this year. My return on investment to Tennessee football has been 0 in 12 years. I’m simply don’t care, like our coaches and players don’t care.

I'm with you. I'm 33, and I love my Vols. I just can't keep coming back for this kind of abuse. I will follow them, and hope things turn around, but I'm not sure it will. I really wish we had hired Mike Leach. I wonder what our issue is. I figured that Fulmer would have fixed some of this
