Never thought I would say this.

I just turned 40 grew up on UT football i thought the 90’s run would be the norm and winning SEC titles and competing for them and National titles on a yearly basis never thought it would ever get this bad. but I think the program is broken beyond repair now and dead. We are what Minnesota was and has become a once traditional SEC power that is now extinct. I can’t blame any fan for bowing and not watching another game this season.

I'm only 28. I dont actually remember the 98 championship game. Despite enduring more bad seasons than good and some embarrassing losses, I've stayed interested and excited even, watching even to the last whistle in big blowout losses. I've considered myself a big passionate fan.

I'm no longer interested in Tenn football. The program hasnt been interested in actually winning in awhile now. There's more to life than sports.

This could be one of those games that changes a season, a program.

I'm expecting "see ya" comments. I'm not boycotting, quitting like some of these guys. I've seriously, legitimately lost interest in watching them play. If I get a chance to watch and it's a close game, I'll tune in. Outside of Dobbs, the program has been a dumpster fire and this is an all time low. I'm just going to stop planning my life around gameday. I just dont care anymore. Obviously, Tenn athletics doesnt.
I am 50, lived with the great teams, NC, and all the fond memories. I’ve been worn down year after year. I love my school, never missed a game, season ticket holder. But I now believe our football program is dead.

I have to, and will, find other things to do on Saturdays now. I used to joke about how UT football would be the death of me. Right now, my entire head is throbbing and my BP is through the roof. This is not healthy, and I think I am goi g to start painting gnomes.

33 here.. TN Football was all I had. Honestly. Single. No friends. Live at home with my aunt. Lost a sister a few years back. Life's been rough for me and has had me down the last several years.. Always looked forward to Uzt football. Going to games. Cheering in the stadium. Loved it. Even with my anxiety of being around people. It just was nice to fit in somewhere. Now it's gone.

We are a multipurpose million dollars organization that’s run like the crappy little corner gas station. No reach committee making decisions. We had a total idiot in control and then turned the whole thing over to a guy that was fired a decade ago for allowing the game to pass him by. We needed to throw 5 million+ at a big name/proven coach. The guy I e liked for a long time is Justin Fuentes. He’s probably making 3.5 at va tech. He was in Tennessee at Memphis and would’ve taken the job

I agree 100% man. I’m no longer emotionally invested in this team. There is more to life than UT football. I’ll spend more quality time with my 1 year old and wife on the weekends now. This program is terrible. Ive patiently waited for over a decade now for something positive and I just don’t care anymore.

If anybody believes we are still relevant in College Football this should be evidence enough that we are far from it. I have been watching UT football since 1985 and we normally struggle with "playing down" to our competition but we normally win the game (unless there is a Gator on the side of the helmet). That is no longer the case. After the last 10 years, I am at a complete loss as to how UT will turn it around.

Normally I'd be the jerk that says see ya but I'm with you. Someone said we are Kansas and I agree or Nebraska.

Yeah, you'll get blasted by some, but that's a fair perspective. We've had season tickets for years and I'm not sure how many games be attending at this point. I remember 98, I remember when those who didn't have tickets weren't able to even get them. Different times now.

I'm 66 and in bad health. I really wanted to see a change this year. I wasn't expecting 9 wins hell even 8 wins but I was expecting improvement. I'm real sad now that reality has finally sunk in and I'm never going to get to enjoy sataudays in the fall. They have broke me not because they lost but the way they lost. You can blame the Coaches or blame the administration even the players but the desire to win has been lost at Tennessee. I'm thru!!

I agree. I still like football season and the Autumn and all that stuff. I like watching competitive games between good teams, but Tennessee is not competitive. I'm not excited about watching any more games this year. I would not be surprised if they didn't win a single game.

Was Just coming here to post. Just not worth my time anymore. When this team shows they are willing to give their all, win or loose, I will watch. What I have seen these last few games says they aren’t willing.

I’m 29, since I started watching football in earnest I’ve never seen a good TN team either. I’m broken too.

Just don’t even want to watch other football games. This game just sucked the joy out of the sport for me for now.

Done too, for now at least. Don’t even want to see the color orange.
