I hated hearing their cheers in Neyland last season, but I like UCLA. And not just because they play USC every year.

It's hard to dislike Neuheisel. He did beat us twice but the guy has a good personality and I do think he will make UCLA competitive. He has a brutal schedule this year, but he had an awesome recruiting class and if he can get another like it, he will have them right up there in their conference.

I kinda like UCLA as well. They beat us twice...but I don't really hate them. I don't hate that many programs...just the 11 others in the SEC, USC, Oklahoma, Miami, and Ohio State. I always liked UCLA's colors as well.

UCLA isn't all bad. They are definitely the lesser of the two evils in that town. Mo Jo Drew usually fills up my fantasy football wins column. I like Reggie Miller. And their cheerleaders aren't too bad to look at.

The "make fun of UCLA" thread was all I needed to develop an affinity for their fine (and I DO mean FINE!!) coeds..... As far as the Bruin football team goes.... I hate 'em.

Other than losing to UCLA twice (I was there last year and was disappointed with how many empty seats there were) I really don't mind them.....we almost played them in '98 but they lost to the "U"

Is there really anything better than seeing that UCLA blue jersey on the field up against Tennessee's orange. Two years ago at their place was visually stunning uniform-wise.

Not hard to disprove the veracity of that old bromide, though: For instance, Osama bin Laden was the enemy of Saddam Hussein. That didn't make Saddam our friend, but I don't think either of them had any friends.

yeah i like what he is doing, thought udub screwed him a bit.

Are you kidding? Neuheisel left Colorado and UW in shambles. UW has won like, 11 games in the 7 or so years since he's been gone. Dude left the cupboard totally bare.

Thanks for all the props. Lots of Bruins are rooting for the Vols. Everyone who visited last year had nothing but good things to say. Even the Vol fans I tailgated with in 2008 were a good bunch and liked talking all things college football.

It's funny, I was a big time hater (I'm sure some remember many of my posts over the last two years) but now I'm rooting for the Orange and White. I wonder if my Bama friends have found out yet. Oh well... that's football!

Here's to good times ahead! GO BRUINS! GO VOLS!

I like ucla all their fans were absolutely fantastic, very nice and just seemed like good people. Most that i talked to last year were amazed of all the orange and support that we have. One older man said that the rose bowl didn't compare to neyland! Neyland is astonishing.

Slick Rick had a pretty darn good record at Washington, to be Washington...

I wouldn't say he left Washington in shambles. That was probably more due to the fact that their next two coaches sucked. Rick got fired from Udub for taking part in a college basketball parlay. I mean, come on....

One of my favorite memories while living in L.A. was at the Rose Bowl in 2001. I had tickets to UCLA's last game of the season, which happened to fall on the same evening as the rescheduled UT/UF contest.

Knowing that I would probably have a coronary watching that game on TV, I decided to record it and go to Pasadena.

Deep in the 4th, UCLA was running rough-shod over one of the AZ teams. The crowd was getting a bit listless and quiet as they waited for the Bruins to get another TD. Then, over the P.A. system came the Vols/Gator score, and the crowd erupted. Ended up celebrating two wins with some UCLA fans.

weeeellll, yeah, they had friends....the USA. when russia was our enemy in the cold war during the 70s and 80s, we kept saddam's government (if it could be called a government) and osama's clan armed and afloat.
