Techies I have a que. for you. The past week or two my NETGEAR router keeps losing connection. As time goes on its starting to drop it more and more frequent. Last night it went from staying on an hour at a time down to dropping connection every 5-15 mins. Should I just get a new router or is there a fix for this? Thanks for your help

i did that about 1000 times last nite. i'd let it sit for 10 seconds, and sometimes for several minutes. i never had the problem until the past wk or 2. i think it may be time for a new router

I would do that. It can happen if you leave it on for extended times. Not sure why. The best thing is to unplug it completely and wait 10-30 secs then plug it back in and see if that works. How old is it?

You should get a Linksys N router. I havne't had any problems with it and the software that comes with it is great. Is the router next to a tv or other device putting out a magnetic field? That can tend to screw with them.

i may buy the linksys just in case, then go home try the firmware and if it works return the linksys

They heat makes them do this with age. My router has been up for 71 days now if that tells you it is beyond time to punt.
