Netflix

The infrastructure and cost involved of shipping DVDs by mail is huge compared to the cost to stream it. Broadband back then was nowhere near what it is today. There's a reason when Netflix opened in Canada they didn't give them a DVD by mail option. That was the whole reason that Netflix originally created Qwikster, so its balance sheet would be bogged down by DVD costs and Netflix could show its shareholders huge profits.

Really wish Modern Family was on here. I started watching S3 and I wanna catch up on the first 2 seasons.

Switched to Blockbuster Express.

Good God why? Netflix has made a few mistakes in the past month but ultimately decided not to make them. But Blockbuster is the posterchild for running a business the wrong way and screwing over the customer.

Not to mention that Netflix instant is way better than it was even 6 months ago. Especially on the TV side.

bought a blu-ray player with Netflix not too long ago, I must say that I'm loving it so far.

I was unable to watch the new "Battlestar Galactica" when it was airing new episodes, but it's all on Netflix.

Plus it has 100 episodes of the original, BBC version of Top Gear (the US version stinks).

One of the best shows ever. Even the ending was solid.

agree with the first sentence but the 2nd one...:ermm:

You didn't like it? I couldn't really think of any other way they could have handled it. Most shows, even great ones, fail at the end. See Lost. All things considered, I think the ending of BG was solid.

On a side note, the special effects in BG were fantastic. Can't recall a TV show with anything better.

Burn Notice is on streaming now. I'm finally able to watch the first season (without buying it on DVD).

Just watched the first season of Breaking Bad...awesome show so far.

Started this too, during the week of finals. Horrendous idea on my part. But i've gotten really into it.

Love the show, and Aaron Paul's acting.

EDIT: I was surprised to see there wasn't a Breaking Bad thread on here.

I was surprised there WASN'T because I knew there WAS. Saw how I tricked ya there.

Watched Tucker and Dale vs. Evil and Wet Hot American Summer tonight. Both were pretty damn funny.

The first was a spoof of your normal college kids getting butchered by hillbillies out in the country slasher film except it was shown from the perspective of two rednecks just trying to relax on vacation where the college kids are causing all the problems. Good stuff.

The second was a spoof of 80's summer camp movies. Great cast. It was made by the people that made The State so if you liked that you'd like this. This was hilarious.

I watched "Kill the Irishman" about a man named Danny Green that fought the mafia in Cleveland in the 1970's. It was pretty good
