Netflix

I mean, I basically saw the ending coming before it happened, but it hit the delicate spot between my tastes and those of my wife. That's a narrow margin.
yeah it was the same for me until we watched the first two and my wife said she didn't care what happens. Lol.

Such a boring movie. But loved the scenery how it looked.

I wouldn't call it entertaining or boring. It's like saying a painting is boring. It's not meant to entertain, it's meant to make you ponder.

I did a lot of thinking about the work we do in life to build the world, and how small and insignificant most of us feel in doing our part. There is the scene where the narrator talked about how much work went into building that train tunnel that would later be replaced by a bridge, rendering the tunnel obsolete....I'm not even going to be able to die saying I did that much...that I built a tunnel that went obsolete. My builds are far less tangible than that, and my impact is indirect, so I completely identify with that sentiment...I've been chewing on it ever since I watched. Am I gonna feel connected to it all, at the end?

It was very sad to me his entire life, the cards he was dealt when he just did what he thought it was what a man was supposed to do. Definitely gives one the yearning to fulfill YOLO principles.

I haven’t seen the movie yet, but think about your kid(s) and what you build there.

Speaking of my kids....never seen them laugh so hard at a movie. In Your Dreams was a hit.

The Diplomat is good. I actually wanted to turn it off halfway through the first episode. Glad I stuck it out. I really enjoyed it.

Society of the Snow is long, but well done.

Just wanted to bump this. Season three is out and it’s a great series overall.

Would recommend

I found it very boring and cliche.

I love the cast but I feel they were almost too over the top with it. And I felt it spoonfed the audience too much at points, which was disapponting.

I thought it was ok but not nearly as good as I was expecting.

I felt like it lacked something. My favorite moments were always the character interactions and dialogue. This season they feel more distant from each other emotionally, which I understand is the tone of the season, but it kind of negates everything I love about the show. A couple clever one liners that I enjoyed so far, though.
the reveal for Will was an awesome moment.

I wasn't bored with it, but I'm kind of glad it's wrapping up. It didn't wow me.

And this is probably nitpicky but I got annoyed with how it was shot and directed, like you could almost set up a drinking game where you took a shot every time someone walked up slowly and looked at something or a scene ended with a close up of someone giving a funny one liner

So far I don't like S5 nearly as well as S4. The way the military is portrayed is just so goofy it strains credulity for me, even taking into account that the government, in that universe, is a nefarious, spooky force.

Yeah, the Lt. Colonel guy is like a walking cookie cutter stereotype. Like all he does is look mean, spit out generic one liners, etc. Like I know the show is set in the 80s but come on.

His and Hers was great. Don't look at any spoilers!

Wow I was just going to post that I thought it was terrible. They jumped the shark at the end. Started off good but ultimately it was one of the series i only finished because I had invested so much time in. We just finished it last night and I was disappointed in it overall.

Dang, the end totally shocked me! We all have different tastes.

His and Hers. Couple of things I noticed that I questioned. Nothing to ruin it for me. Seemed to be 1 more but I don't remember what it was.

when Zoe was in the bathtub and Anna's mom was there, Zoe smiled and wasn't like "wtf you doing in my house and in my bathroom"

Why was Anna's mom at the lake house and how did she get there?
