Netflix

We started Waterfront. Some of the acting is a little pedestrian, but the story is intriguing thus far.
I am not a "TV show" guy by any means (basically the only thing I watch on TV is sports) but my wife picked up this show and I actually found myself paying attention to it and eventually just watching the whole thing. It reminded me a lot of Bloodline, but not in a copy/ripoff kind of way. The Grady character was quite a trip.

Any Given Saturday is really well done, thus far. Looking forward to episode 3!
There's no new information, but the behind the scenes look at the coaches is kind of interesting. They miss/don't even talk about some of the most critical moments of the games they show, like the called back pick 6 at the end of the LSU/South Carolina game.

I thought this before watching episode 1, but Beamer is way too up-and-down of a guy to be a head coach. He goes through the emotions of winning and losing like fans do.

I haven't finished, 4 episodes in. But I thought it was amazing to see the contrasting coaching styles of Brian Kelly and Beamer. Kelly coaches hard and will cuss you out in a heartbeat, Beamer is just aw shucks let's have some fun. I guess both styles can be successful, I think CJH falls somewhere in the middle.

Same thoughts here. Will be interesting to see if the old school "grab em by the facemask" and drop F bombs or the "fun dad" approach works better in the new era of paid players.

The only thing I know is that it's a new and difficult world for college football.
