Don't forget you'll also need an XBOX Live subscription after your free month runs out. Look on buy.com for that.

I was also looking at Costco and they have a bundle w/ 2 controllers and 12mo gold for $380. Not quite as good but I could sleep in

Its been pretty sketchy for me the last couple of days. Can't even watch a regular SD movie without it looking like a youtube video.

I seem to have the same problem. I have a 1080i tv and I am using the HDMI and have an excellent connection. I am really wondering if this will be worth it after the free trial. Anyone else not getting good pictures with these movies?

Maybe I havent watched enough to make a good assesment of the quality. It just looked to me that the one movie I tried to watch was "You Tube quality".

There was a problem last week when the New Xbox Experience rolled out - and Netflix support rolled out along with it - yet Sony's movies were unavailable. Boneheads made conspiratorial mutterings. Netflix were more sensible. The online movie company issued a statement last week saying "we hope they’ll be licensed for Xbox 360 shortly". When Netflix say "shortly", they mean "shortly", as (most of) Sony's movies are now up and available for download. Least, the important ones are. Go knock yourselves out.

I ran into Superbad not playing, and I thought it was due to content and stopping kids from watching it.

I love it... You can go to netflix.com and look at the movies that can be viewed instantly.

The newest Xbox live update is going to have facebook, twitter, and something sponsored by Zune where you can get free music. Though that was pretty cool.

I went ahead & signed up earlier. I only watched a couple quick scenes from Step Brothers & Lake View Terrace & the quality wasn't bad at all. It looked like theater quality but not DVD quality.

Theater quality is HD, bro.

In some instances, theater dlp machines are showing higher resolutions than BluRay. Lots of newer cameras hitting the market right now have higher than 1080p resolution and modern day projectors have the ability to show much higher than 1080p resolutions.

However, during the last few years, most digitally shot movies are done at 1080p.

I am not so sure about the connection being the issue. I still have netflix, but if I want to watch a movie, I hook my laptop up to the TV and stream through that. The quality is markedly better than if I do it through the laptop VS the xbox.
