About to watch "Schooled: The Price of College Sports." Any recommendations on other favorite Netflix documentaries?

2/3 through, and I'm already done with the NCAA. This is very eye-opening.

There was a series on Air Force Para Rescue Jumpers that is amazing. It has gruesome moments because they fly right into battle zones to save people and take them to the hospital. If it's still on and you don't have a weak stomach, then I'd check it out.

I've been watching the crap out of the 30 for 30 movies.

I watched all* of them on Netflix.

Some good docs I watched:

Restrepo
Bigger Faster Stronger
Women Aren't Funny
The Improv
The People vs George Lucas
Stan Lee doc

*The only one I turned off was the Kris Everett/Martina N one. It was really boring the way they had them carry on fake conversations to create the narrative.

The Square.
The Act of Killing.
20 Feet from Stardom.
Dirty Wars.
Cutie and The Boxer.

All 5 of those were nominated for Best Documentary at last year's Oscars.

Cutie and the Boxer was awful. Couldn't even watch it all the way through.

WWII in HD and Vietnam in HD. 30 for 30 the two escobars. All are great.
Watched all of WWII when it originally aired. Very well done.

Bigger, faster, stronger and Undefeated are on cue.

Watching Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War. It's really good, though one must remember that Netflix documentaries heavily slant leftward. It's funny the things not mentioned and glossed over vs what they point out, but this doc is really good.

Personally I love a good murder documentary. The Staircase (I know, it's old), Don't **** with Cats, American Murder the Family Next Door, and the Murdaugh Murders are some of my favorites. I guess they are all pretty old now. The Octopus Murders is probably next on my list.
