There is so much unwarranted negativity because we are use to losing. I don't remember getting better every week and showing improvement like we currently are. Next week will show where we are. Pruitt needs to beat Mullen if we want to be successful long term. Save all this negativity until it warranted

From post game presser, don't think Pruitt thought we got better today.

He made the comments about sub-par practice resulting in mistakes in the game because they're true, but also to send an aggressive message about what's necessary this week in practice. Stranger things have happened, but I think we're 2-3 TD deficit at this point.

Fans basically have 3 months to enjoy 12 games. Then they wait another 9 long months to begin again. Not a lot of oppertunities to get excited even in a decent year. Some say have patience with the players and coaches but maybe have a little patience with the long suffering fans to blow off a little steam with negative comments. Fans are what allow coaches and players to do what they love. Negative comments don’t always make a person a negafan, just a fan passionately wanting better.

Yep...even if this ends up being real bad year on the record books, if the team is fighting and clawing and staying in games, it's something to build upon and be at least modestly excited about. They didn't pass the eye test in first game, and real tough to gauge them last two games. Real season starts now. This is our first opportunity to show we're not the worst team in the SEC.

It will come down to the 4th Qtr, like it did in 2015 and 2017.

Our OL vs their DL. This is the storyline like it has been the last 3-5 years. Won't be any different this time either.

We scored 24 points against a team that has given up an average of 41 to UNLV and Nothern Arizona.

We arent getting better offensively...
We gained nearly 100 more yards offensively in this game versus our 59 point game last week. There are a few times that the scoreboard doesn't tell the game.

The self-inflicted penalties and two turnovers is what cost us from having a 38-0 or even 45-0 game vs a 24-0 game.

You can sugarcoat it all you want but the bottom line is we scored 24 points against the worst FBS team and a team that had given up 40+ on average to 2 dogsh-t teams.

And some of these "self inflicted penalties" were due to some members of our OL having to hold to prevent from being beat...

I personally think we regressed from last week. Made a lot of mistakes and the OL is still getting blown off the ball against bottom of the barrel competition. And I love Banks’ attitude but he needs to humble himself a bit. You can’t be putting yourself at risk of a costly turnover like that when you have another down to play for on the goal line. He has the mindset that he’s going to score every time he gets the ball down there but if he’s going to be careless with the ball when we can put points on the board, Pruitt isn’t going to put him in the game. Should have scored 30 at bare minimum today but realistically with the talent gap we should’ve put up at least 40. I love the shutout but it was kind of a disappointing showing against a far inferior opponent.

My patience has ran out with negative so-called fans that couldn't coach a hop scotch game.

It’s a match up of two teams who have no business being cellar dwellers of SEC. Shows how multiple coaching/player turnover and sub par coaching can wreck anyone. Think Pruitt will get us there...just not this year.

Except remember what Pruitt said recently: "The better we get, the more I'm going to gripe" -- and no, I don't remember where he said it, but I know that he did say it.

I am hoping our OL is not their DL.

Our O-line is not good. So you might as well get ready for a long season. We have had trouble blocking two lesser teams. What do you think will happen when we start playing SEC teams. Now we got a stretch of Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and S Carlolina. Missouri will score alot of points, Kentucky looks pretty good, (they have alot of seniors) and Vandy could of beat Notre Dame yesterday.

We arent getting better offensively...

We ran for 345 yards, 512 total yards, 7+ yards per play, 2 more 50+ yard plays from scrimmage. were very efficient in the passing game. Made a few drive killing mistakes (Banks fumble at goal line, dumb chop block penalty from Richmond which negated a rushing TD) , but you could make a case that our offense improved this week, regardless of the opposition.
