negative vs. realistic

I think the better analogy is that while people are loading up the lifeboats and trying to save lives, the nega-Titanics are complaining about the size of the hole the iceberg left and pointing out that the boats aren't being filled fast enough.

Tuberville lost to Miss St. 14-19 in 2007 and beat them 3-2 in 2008. He was fired after the season. Close.

You're right, it was Orgeron. I wonder if Mullin can get them winning regularly, what does that do if you lose to MS St? Of course, that is probably for another board.

My quote is be taken with a hint of sarcasm. Many in the south east do take football very very seriously.

Anyone can write anything they want. But if you write the Vols are going to go 10-0 or 12-0 be prepared to receive some strong opposition to that line of thinking. Not sure if I'd agree it's a fun thing to say, out loud at least.

I agree with you and was joking back....I prefer to be positive because I enjoy it more than negative....and life has taught me if I go negative, I tend to overdo it.... and then my wife hits me.lol- Realistically, I hope we can win 5 to 6 games, show good progress and have another good recruiting year.

I love the Vols and think they will suprise a lot this season, but the answer to your question... the person that yelled iceberg saw the iceberg coming with his own eyes ( that is realistic )...the people that are being negative toward the season, that is their (opinion) .

personally i believe the Vols will stay afloat this season with 8 or 9 wins :) Go Vols!!!!

If you see 8 or 9 wins for this season, you really are drinking the orange koolaid and wearing orange colored glasses.

interesting analogy but id need to know more before i can answer....

did the crew member cry iceberg for 6 months? did he shout ICEBERG everytime anyone spoke about anything?

and lastly, did crying iceberg change anything or is he still dead?

I'm going to sue you, ochocinco. Your post made me laugh hard I fell off my chair and hurt my knee. You're a danger to the public!

So stating that UT is in trouble is putting the team down? Hmmm that's just funny to me. You can search from the mountains to the delta and you won't find a bigger fan than me. I love UT and always will. But as a FAN I have the right to state my opinion and terrible management by our AD.

I don't agree with you often, (mostly because like most Cardinals fans you are pretty whiny :)) but this is absolutely spot on. I will support this team through every game in every year, but when I throw money at the program, whether it is donations, tix, merchandise, etc. I have every right to call it like I see it, and it doesn't make me a fairweather fan. Anyone who claims otherwise is either a blind homer or a complete idiot or both.

Bottom line, this team probably won't be good this year. They probably won't be good next year either. It is infuriating to realize that the AD hired a candidate who wasn't even close to the best coach he could have hired. Hopefully, Dooley does well. I don't think he will, and I am not part of some fringe element of the fan base either. Don't like what I think? Tough ****, you can deal.

:good!:

Some people are completely convinced that whatever they want to happen, will happen. Others are mature and understand that life isn't always ice cream and popsicles.
