Ive seen some threads on here recently wondering whether negative fans can affect a program. Some of us wonder whether the Vols have an especially negative fanbase. Well, for context, head on over to landthieves.com today, an excellent Oklahoma football forum. Two of the most recent threads there today are titled "**** you Stoops" and "this team sucks." This is a team coming off a 12 win season where they made the CFP with a coach who wins 10 games a year like clockwork and has a natty.

My point is, dont think we are the only fanbase with negative fans. Every team has them, even perennial top 10 programs. We are not significantly affecting the program. To think we are ignores that every other big time program has their own vocal negative faction.

To think Sooner fans are anywhere close to our level is absurd. We are more crazy than 100 fan bases combined.

I have over 100 VN posters on IGNORE! That said, it is by far the best fan site anywhere! :whistling:

I agree actually. It's like siblings. Growing up we brothers routinely tormented each other. But that's our business. Any body else jump in and it's on against them poking their nose where it doesn't belong

I've never understood blocking people on message boards other than for personal attacks.

If you can't handle someone having a different opinion then yourself, then you probably shouldn't use the internet.

I'd be pissed if I lost to Houston as well. OU has better players all over the field and more depth.

Why read it if you don't have to? :dunno: He prolly has them on ignore because in his OPINION they're not worth acknowledging...you should be willing to die to defend his opinion. :w00t:

Each fan has to get thru the season in their own way. The team needs to block out the noise and go to work.

It was a great win. I'm glad to be 1-0.

Bring on VTech.

Man, if that many people bothered me, I'd stay away. That being said, you're probably not reading this😀

A great win?

If you believe us beating Appalachian State, at home, in the first game of the year, qualifies as a "great win", then our standards have cratered. This was embarrassing, no other way to say it. Beating Alabama, Florida, Georgia, those are "great wins".

Exactly. I am very happy for the win but if anyone seriously thinks Appy St was a great win they are nuts.
