Needing prayers.

I have this friend. Her name is Jenn. She told me that she has a brain tumor. It could be so much worse as it’s stable and they just monitor it. She’s a Joy to be around and was just kinda laughing it off. But….she and her husband go Monday to get the MRI to ensure nothing has changed. I can tell that behind the smiles of these 2 wonderful people there’s that nervousness that any reasonable person would feel.
Please remember my people in your prayers with me that they have peace with this test, that nothing has changed in her prognosis and that their travails are uneventful.

They are Georgia fans and I still love them so you know they’re good people.

Thanks

We'll be praying

Prayers for my 94 year old grandmother. She fell and broke 2 bones below the knee yesterday morning. They're attempting to squeeze her into an already full surgery schedule today. We're worried if she can even make through surgery, much less any possible rehab at her age.

Bless her heart! That sounds so painful. Praying.

Doctors decided against surgery. Going to attempt to let it heal naturally. Starts therapy tomorrow. Doc said it will be a long and painful recovery, if she can make it through it. I sincerely appreciate all the prayers!

I have a lot to report….
-The Ginger woman had her scan. Her liver is still functioning in normal ranges. We are now at 11 years remission.
-Willy the auto mechanic with the gleo brain tumor has had the tumor shrink from a 5.4 cm to 3.1. 2.5 becomes surgical. He was told in April he had 6 months. He told them he was going out like that. He has returned to work and is now givin a “years and years “ prognosis
-Jenn the Georgia fan’s scan came back with no growth to her brain tumor. She was told she doesn’t have to come back for 2 years for the next scan.

G-d is good, all the time, and all the time……..

Been a hard few weeks.

Had some setbacks. Seizures a few weeks ago. Led to hospital stay, weakness, lethargy/depression, and bedsores (dammit.)

Good news is Shepherd Center took the boy back I , and he has been progressing well the last week.

Looks like the holidays will be in the ATL this year.

I had to step away from work, at minimum to December, we will re-evaluate then. But, what else does one do for their child?

The boy got to meet Herschel Walker the other week. I had see. Herschel at the hospital and gave him a head nod and a “Go Vols” at the elevator. Sat with him and his wife a week later at dinner. He was incredibly gracious. I’d post a pic, but it says it is too large a file and I am a tech idiot. 🤣

Long road, but I am here for all of it; my boy is worth it.

Thank you, again, for asking.

This place is a bit of relief in the midst of the mess, as long as I do t take it too seriously. 😉

He is good. Even when we don’t see it.

Some day, I will fall to my knees in awe of what He has done, and how everything worked for good, even, and especially, when I saw no good.

It will be so, so good. I am excited about it, to tell you the truth.

I may have said before, but I'm not too far from Atlanta, it's a little over an hour usually. I work a lot, but if I can do anything, I'll try my best. If you need anything, reach out, and we'll do whatever we can to help.

Zoners have always been good people. Praying for all you guys.

For those who have asked sister is doing well. Eating good and able to get around. For those that don’t know that’s a huge thing. So far no signs of abnormal brain activity. Or, as I like to tell her, no more than usual.

Haven’t been around much, but praying for everyone who needs it.

I’d ask for prayers for myself. Have some health and personal stuff happening, but I’m a stubborn sob and I’ll deal with it.

Y’all behave.

I don’t know why but you are on my mind a lot.

I work in ATL and live about 30 minutes away. Let me know if you need anything or want to grab a bite to eat sometime (or suggestions).
