Needing prayers.

Grandma also has a fractured rib (that they told us about yesterday, a day and a half into her stay that they knew about initially).

Literally bruised from head to toe (her whole left side basically, except the head and neck is on the right). I'm still amazed and thankful that it wasn't worse.

Small chance they do stay up here for the surgery (like 1%). They can do it on the 3rd, whereas her appointment (for a consultation) is that day (and would likely have to wait a week or 2 to then get scheduled I'd imagine).

It's just been a mess. Also dealing with some fluid in her lung.
Prayers 🙏

Mom is now at the point that she has to be told to grab her walker hahahaha
Home health bringin a wheelchair out tomorrow night, and boy dey gon be surprised hahahaha
She's having a difficult time emotionally, though. Monday would have been her and dad's 69th Wedding Anniversary.
Please continue to keep her in your prayers, Zoners.

Edit: Yesterday we had to meet the lawyer and update the documents. It was an emotional day for both of us.

Mom's first day of home health (Friday) went very well.

There was a chitload of paperwork, of course, and a bunch of signin to do.

The guy was a PT and wanted to really push her on her evaluations.

She scored at 10-11 weeks (and she broke her hip only six weeks ago).

She was able to successfully navigate without ANY aid (no claw-footed walker, no wheeled walker) around cups placed in various configurations.

She decided to go to the bathroom, had to go down one step and up the step to come back, and the PT dude was right there, and I took a pic of her cane (beside the refrigerator) and her walker (beside dad's recliner). I said, "You see what I did, right." He just laughed and said I really don't think we'll be coming out very often.

Today I went over there and she was in 3-4 rooms and was moving great without anything.

She is requiring more pain meds than she did before the surgery, and she doesn't like to take those if she doesn't really need them.

My cousin took her to her PCP's office visit today, and she did take the wheeled walker. But her PCP doctor watched her walk without it and told her she was walking better than she did before the injury.

Very grateful for my mom, been a tough few months for us, grateful to the Zone prayer warriors.
