My dad had bypass surgery in 19. Everything checks out okay now for him health wise, but it wouldn't surprise me if there is something next to come up, especially with my uncle passing last year.My Dad's balance is off when he walks and gets dizzy. I thought maybe the eye, but he has had vertigo before. So that's another thing to check. But I really just want him back going. He was scared there for a few months because of some things and he has just turned negative and he has never been that way. He thought the eye was a stroke then he has been sick and dizzy and a cyst was found in his kidney well they took it out and it's not cancer! So now he just has to deal with losing a eye witch sucks but he can steal enjoy life and be happy.
His attitude has definitely changed the past couple years - negative like you say, and worrying more. He's never been like that either. I get it though, going blind, having memory issues, relying on others for help - giving up driving, etc.
I do think the constant cruising helps. They don't have to do anything but show up. He still gets to travel the world, which is very important to my mom right now.
