Needing prayers.

Update on my cousin

He is breathing at 35% on his own. Ventilator was at 100%. His kidneys are fumctioning again. Heart and liver are back to normal ranges. And the fever broke. They put him close on antibiotics today
Wow...the power of prayer....that is such good news and a miracle for sure!!

Spoke with my friend Paul yesterday in his front yard.
Hailey is responding very well and quickly to the immunotherapy. She will probably be on it for the rest of her life. From the last pet scan they are saying that her progress has been “unusual, remarkable, phenomenal” the evidence of cancer that was all over her but predominantly in her lungs is all gone everywhere except her lungs. The cancer in her loungs is so reduced that they think it might be eradicated soon with the exception of scar tissue.

Faith without works is death. Paul says that Hailey has become quite the little health freak. Y’all heard me say that’s the work’s evidence of faith that James speaks of.
Yes Sir...the power of prayer is awesome!!

Mom is in a room had all imaging done. was NOT a TIA, rather a full on stroke..but thank God a very mild one. Very little real issues except slurred speech. Has full facial control, muscles etc, just weak. Cause is suspected to be solely her not taking her medication for two days straight.... Hopefully this is wake up call to parents they can't just take medications when they feel like it but need to be regimented daily at the same time. Dad is old school Navy and everything is super organised, they have literal spreadsheet for medications, everything is perfectly sorted, they just had crappy schedules, and he wasn't as observant as he should be for her meds. Can't tell you much I have begged them to set alarm and do it the same time every day even if they go back to sleep. (sigh) Why do we all end up parenting out parents? Feels weird man.

All prayers are duly appreciated. I will always beleive in prayer, I would not be alive without it.

For a bunch of heathen drunkard VFLS, alota of you are good peeps. Thank you.

Well I had two separate incidents, the first was a stroke in my eye which is when a blood clot goes to your eye instead
of your brain, and I had very little eye damage and I am so thankful for that. The second incident happened last week
and it is actually age related. As you age the layer of gel called the vitreous behind the retina ages also and if it pulls
away from the retina it can cause a tear which is what happened to me, but I am so thankful that my vision is still
good......Thank you Jesus.
was there any pain when it happened ? That sounds so scary

No pain, but you start seeing floaters in your eye like musical notes floating around in your eyes (just a figure of speech), but it happens to 75% of people as you age. Well it was scary when I did not know what was happening, but now that I know it's not near as scary, but when that gel separates from your retina is when you can get a retinal tear and that needs to be repaired ASAP, so the moral of the story is if you see a bunch of new floaters in your eye, go see an opthamologist then they may send you to a retinal specialist. I hope this explains everything a little better, I have learned a lot in the last few months.

Perfectly summed up.

Sorry it happened to you, but thanks for sharing it here!

Edit: I just called to make my appt tomorrow. I'm overdue a few months. No issues, but they check things every year (I have drusen, so they make sure it doesn't change.) Thanks for the kick in the butt V!

Better hope your kids will parent you.

Mom is doing much better today her slurring is completely gone, still has some weakness but she got out of bed with help and ate at her chair. Luckily she doesn't have a mirror her hair looks like Grey Yahoo Serious...or Einstein. Personally I like the look, it's very metal. Word is she is likely to be released tomorrow....mainly just with strict order to not miss her medications...not taking for two days was basically 4 missed doses of blood thinners. I'm a lil worried because she's having some mental issues, and my dad really was the one who should catch this. But he's getting older too. (Both in 80's..) Have someone coming in twice a week, but may have to do more days. Guess I'm gonna have to call daily to remind her to take meds... this may have been the end game the entire time.... that woman is crafty. Jawjaw women get their way one way or another.

Make her take her meds boss. My mom lapsed into dementia due to mixing and matching everything that her different docs gave her. Stay on top of it.

Well she has been on statins since statins became a thing in the 80's, and they are deffinately linked to dementia. I have my own opinions on that, but I'm not her doctor, and my relative docs still think statins are awesome. I am over ruled. Also in her case I must begrudgingly admit at this point she might have to stay on them. My new doctor took me off statins immediately when I switched doctors, my cholesterol barely moved in my blood work..which was kinda unexpected, I'm assuming cause of my change in diet and taking my liver support sppliments. Eitehr way statins are a double edge sword....her heart issues probably require it at this point, but her brain and liver sure are not. I dunno medicine changes completely every 10 years.

I hope that your appointment goes well and everything is OK. I had not heard of drusen so I had to look it up. Seems like we are all dealing with something from time to time, but thank the Lord for his mercy and giving us strength.
