I will have surgery Thursday 1-26-12, we still do not know the depth of the tumor or if it has spread. CT Scan Saturday will help determine more. Thank all of you for the ovewhelming encouragemnet and prayers, It is truly great to be a VOL.

I love to see someone remaining so strong in a time of fear and uncertainty. My prayers have been sent.--That it be in the Lord's will to wrap his healing hand around you, and for the comforting of you and your families heart.

Could you post your 1st name so that I can pray for you by name in the future?

We are praying for you, and your family! Also, we all will pray for your Doctors that God will guide and reveal to them what to look for and to decide the best treatment. May God be present during your surgery guiding the surgeon's hands. May God heal you and carry you during this time of your life.

I found out Monday 1/16/12 that I have cancer on my pancreas. Do not know many details yet but would love for as many who will to pray for me and my family. God is good, All The Time. My hope and trust was, is and forever will be in my Lord and saviour JESUS CHRIST. I will be deliverd from this either by healing or heaven either way is GOOD For ME! Romans 8:28 praise the LORD. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

The outpouring of responses, when this was originally posted by Bayou-Vol, was outstanding. I want to encourage you all to continue to remember him, not just the other day, but everyday. I do not know his name, but it, well, it just broke my heart when I read it. I keep thinking about it. He sounds very well connected spiritually and seems to have his priorities straight. We may not be able to be a lot of help because of distance, but God has no boundaries. I would like to ask that everybody on here click on his page and request that you be allowed to be his friend and him yours. He asked for prayers, let's give them to him in a big way, continually, and maybe one day we will read a post from him that says his health has been restored. That way we will know that we worked together as a team, did all we could, and won.

Pray for his family too, that they may find some comfort through the Lord.

i have the idea of maybe the board taking donations to send BAYOU-VOL to a vols football game this coming season or maybe to help with medical bills?

May God bless and comfort him, his family and friends.

If he's going to do Chemo then he'll lose his hair so someone find out his name and address and get him a new Tennessee hat.

If it's someone on the hill then contact the football team and see if they'll pass it around to get alot of the players to sign it for him.

He'd probably love that and things to brighten his spirits during these hard times can work wonders.

May God be with you and strengthen you Bayou Vol in your treatment for cancer. All healing comes from God, whether it is through modern medicine or a miracle. God does still perform miracles. My wife went through three major surgeries and, thanks to God and the wonderful staff at Vanderbilt Medical Center, today she is well and doing what she wants. That's why, even though I am a Vol Fan, I am hesitant about being critical of Vandy.
