Five year member here, first year was Julian's last. I was given a small scholarship but it required a zero credit lesson class and a one hour credit symphony class. The lesson class was waste of time and too far away from other classes it interfered with. Wasn't worth it in the long run so I dropped it.
The most reliable way to to to UT on the cheap is to get a reasonably good GPA and ACT/SAT score. Then they give you a free education and priority registration for classes.
