This has been discussed. I believe IIRC it can be considered
a very minor violation. So minor the NCAA just lets it go because it's kinda tradition like cowbells.

I don't think it is as long as a UT AD employee isn't doing it, promoting it or paying to have it done.

It becomes a violation as soon as a recruit is taken by bus, car, or foot by a coach where he can see it. Its never been inforced so who cares.

I believe what it said in rule book. If School is aware and separates themselves from said violation they are in the clear. They can't control what students do on their own to a open to public forum. That being said don't think for a second that they won't trot those kids in front of said public forum (this case being rock).
