Need New Basketball Radio Play by Play

I love her for various reasons, but even in a color role, it isn't her cup of tea. She sounded like she was carrying on a leisurely conversation with a friend in the stands. Needs to be quicker and use more accentuated points in her analysis. I mean it was fun but not impressive by any measure. She might get better with more reps. We'll see. Basketball color commentating is an art. JMHO developed from 50+ years of watching some of the very best
No worries. We all are entitled to our opinions. Did you watch any games she called other than ours?

I honestly thought she did a better job in games other than ours. It’s obvious she’s new, but I think she will end up being very good. Only the me I have ever said that in 30 almost 40 years of actively watching about a female commentator.

I pray I get to your 50 of cheering on the Vols.

This ^ , I basically muted, it is/was like watching a movie with ppl in row behind you carry on their own conversation. Love CP3 & Bruce for their time at Knoxville but yesterday was hard to follow the game JMO. Maybe they are/where too close to the team in front of them.

Yeah, I noticed later on she wasn't as casual and had picked it up a bit

She can never be objective about the Vols, especially with Bruce joining her in the booth. For color commentary it wasn’t so great — I’m sure that the Rutgers fans were disappointed to hear nearly nothing about their team, in spite of the blowout. I enjoyed it all the same, as Bruce showed why you don’t want him on national TV talking about your personal life.

Hamer talks too much for a color guy. Wilkerson isn’t even calling the game. He makes a comment then Hamer makes a comment. It’s a tag team broadcast. Hamer with Keith probably doesn’t mesh well since there’s only one mic.
