My father and I have season tickets and he is fighting prostate cancer. We normally catch the bus from the coliseum to the stadium. But he can not make the walk from the buses to the stadium. Once in the stadium I'm not sure if he can make the walk to our seats Y9 row 1. Can someone please give me any information you may have so we can get assistance. Thank you and GO VOLS

I would suggest you talk with the Ticket Office about accessible seating. Get your Dad a seated walker/stroller to help with the mobility issue.

Consider using the Campus T bus. It's accessible and stops at Neyland.

Sorry about your Dad cancer. Hope everything goes well.

Agree with this. There's help for you. Might take a few phone calls, but you should be alright.

Hopefully this is still the case but my nephew who graduated 3 years ago was in ROTC and they had the cadets work the game and help the ushers with situations like this. Again, follow the advice above and they will get someone to help your dad get to his seat and back. Only other advice is, assuming weather is not extreme, is have your dad get to the game very early before it gets crazy. That should give him plenty of time to get to his seat and not feel pressured.

Oh, and UT Medical Center works the 4 first aid stations around Neyland on game day. I am considering working one of the games (I am a Family Physician who works for UTMC). If he has any issue at all all the stations have a provider on site and we can access the diagnostic equipment available to the players in a true emergency.

I would think there would be some assistance for your father. However, if Disney Danny has anything to do with it, it will cost you some money.

What is your problem with Danny White?
He could care less about Tennessee. He’s looking for the next job. He’s priced most out of regularly attending games. And he’s alienated the big 3 coaches, CJH included. Things aren’t quite as smooth as they would appear in the athletic department. He has most of the fan base fooled.

I haven’t loved the guy but you are going to have to elaborate on the alienation. That’s a pretty significant claim I’ve never heard. Not saying it is made up or inaccurate, but you gotta give us some details when you say something like that

Thankfully there are wise fans like yourself who can lead those of us who have been fooled by him into the light.

Looking for the next job, he is the highest paid A.D. in the country. This is the first I’ve ever heard of this. You’re gonna have to have some actual facts to back this up.

This may be one of the craziest takes I've seen...

I think you’re full of **** but even if this were true then sounds like a great thing for us that he doesn’t have an emotional attachment to this university because our athletics department has never been more successful than it is now.

I mean, if you want, we can go back to hiring people who “love” the university like Philip Fulmer and be the laughing stock of college sports.

I can tell you one thing, if Rick Barnes felt “alienated” he would now be retired. So your statement doesn’t hold water. Nice try just making things up though.

Hope they find a solution for your father. Regardless, God bless you, your father and the family. May his peace and strength be with you all.
