Can anyone give me an idea of what the schedule for October is going to be next year. The only thing I can find is Ga on the 5th. We are trying to get a wedding scheduled. Looks like we have a game on the 28th of September, FL is normally the weekend before that, so, it looks like 10/12 would maybe be an open date.

Men shouldn't marry women who want to have a wedding during football season.

Alabama and South Carolina will probably be the last two games of the month.

Kudos to you for looking that far in advance. Don't know the schedule but I will say that someone we know scheduled their wedding for THE DAY of the the ALABAMA game years ago when we were beating them like a red headed stepchild. Almost no one was at the wedding and we bailed out on the reception to make it to the game. Boy was she pizzed. Definitely go for the open date.

Yeah, well, I ain't payin for it so I don't have a lot of say in the matter. I do have an agreement that it will be scheduled around the Bama game and that if it is on the same day, there will be a big TV at the reception with stereo sound hooked to it.

Seriously. Always go with April or May. The only thing you'll miss is NHL/NBA playoffs, but just the semi's.

There's pretty good (60-70%) chance that the SEC schedule is going to be re-shuffled for next year and it won't be released until February-March.

Any speculation about what our or any other SEC schedule is going to look like next year is a complete guess at this point.

My anniversary is 9/29 which was an open date when we got married in 07. What I didn't think about unfortunately is that the open date is different every year... So now it's not quite cool with the Mrs. if I try to catch our game on our anniversary weekend. Just sayin... I wish someone woulda reminded me of that when we were planning our wedding lol

Any man that plans a wedding around football season will at some point and time be forced with a decision of giving up football on that date no matter the opponent or get divorced.

That's what nobody thinks about. Not only are you picking a wedding day, you're picking an anniversary date. Is it really that difficult to pick a date from December to August? Everybody will be happier.

Get married on a Friday. That's what I did. Worked out great. Wwedding was awesome, most everyone that was invited came, and I was on my couch watching the Bama game the next day.

Your anniversary will eventually end up on a Saturday

I proposed to my wife on an open date. Got married in the off season. Last year one of her friends was getting married on a gameday. My wife informed the bride we wouldn't be going since there was a game, without me even having to say anything. I'm a lucky man.

Not if you marry smart like me. I got married in June, but the wife loves UT football and football in general as much as anyone I know. She would be pizzed at me and might want to divorce me if I wanted her to miss a game- not that I would mind you.

I got married during football season. It was an early game so we got married after the game. We had TVs up for people to watch. Good to go
