Need help for a general recruiting question?

Here in alabama we have 1A football to 6A football, does anyone know or have a breakdown of percentages that a kid from each division that has a chance at a scholarship. just a discussion we are having at work, thanks!?

All I know is we need to offer more Tennessee players. Alot to be said for a whole highschool getting on board. Vandy took the best player from Dobyns-Bennett. Clemson has got a couple of Gerald Sensabagh's cousins. So where does the family go after "no love" from Tennessee?

I can speak to GA high schools in general. I don't have the percentages, but usually, the better players (or more ready for the next level) are at the larger schools. There are talented players in all classifications, but the talent is hard to evaluate if they are playing at a low classification because the players are usually smaller (due to weight programs) and the amount of players to pull from is smaller in number. It's kind of like in basketball, where someone can score a ton of points against lesser talent, but you find out how good you are when you play against the big boys.

Yes sir, that is about what were figuring! Seems like it would be very challenging for smaller school guys unless you are just a freak of nature.

From what I've seen, the best players at the lower level always seem to "find" themselves at the higher level schools.

Honestly these days what camps the recruits attend and do well at is just as important to their play on the field in terms of retaining an offer.

Another big part of recruiting is being a part of a winning team. More winning = more exposure regardless of classification of the school. Seen really good players that didn't get a look because their team wasn't good.

Depends on who you ask!? Bammers will tell you to hush until Tenn. becomes relevant again or if you have not won an sec game then keep opinions to yourself.

Every since ole Dools has been at Tenn. I pretty much get hammered every Monday! Take it like man but it is getting harder to do after 3 long years! Lol

That is along the same lines I was thinking! Get them out and compete with the elite from other areas to get exposure. Especially when they may go to a smaller school.

In general, the bigger schools (bigger talent pools, if not bigger rosters) will wind up having more of the "better" players and those players will get more exposure because of playing in bigger games. But in every state, in every classification, there are programs that turn out good football players, year in and year out.

That's where camp performances come into play. And in this day and age, if you can play ball, someone will find you.
