My wife and I are headed out to Vegas this weekend and I'd love to get everyone's advice on good bets for the weekend (upset, spreads, etc) and if you've been what you'd suggest checking out. Thanks everyone!

If I were betting, I would take:

South Carolina in their game against Arkansas. (South Carolina Passing game against a sorry Arkansas D, and Ark. likes to pass while SC pass D is pretty good).

I might be tempted to take LSU over Bama.

Oklahoma to cover 5 1/2 over Nebraska.

Oregon to cover 6 1/2 over Stanford.

You have to go to Caesar's Palace Sportsbooks. About 15 huge screens each showing a different game. Nowhere better to watch football.

I would give Memphis 25 all day, Lane loves runnin up the score if he can and memphis will be discouraged by halftime.

My picks would be Oregon, Ok over Nebraska, Texas a&m (should kill colorado).

Ceasar's palace is the place to go. Great for watching, betting on games. Plus it's right next to the poker room!

Thanks everyone....
1) roulette is the dumbest thing I have ever lost money at! All it semmed to entail is someone hollering at me telling me i was almost out of time to bet and then spinning a wheel. Then they just took my chips. I would have come out better by just throwing some cash in the hotel toilet and watching the money spin away.
2) The bunny ranch is what the cat house show is about, correct?
My wife actually likes that show, but as to me getting to step foot within 100 miles of that place... highly unlikely.
3)and Rockytoprowdy-I agree with the spreads. I'll prob go with most if not all of those picks (my wife is Ark alumn and if I bet against them then I will definitely NOT get to go to the Bunny Ranch this weekend!!!)

Thanks again and keep those picks coming!

Oklahoma to cover
Oregon to cover
Byu to cover
Teaser with cincy, iowa, and ga. tech.

Good luck.

I usually stay close to the blackjack tables, but once drinking and crowds get invovled the craps table comes a callin!

I like Woodford Reserve a lot.

Craps is my favorite game in Vegas. Find a hot table with some hot shooters. Chatter like muh fuh. And just ride it out until a cooler comes along. I made a killing in craps a couple months ago in Vegas.

I would feel comfortable enough with the Oregon, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M games to maybe roll those into a three game parlay if you want to win a little more money. I was out there two years ago for my 21st Birthday and was betting NFL. Missed a five game parlay by one game...It was the one game the Dolphins decided to win that year...

You are only the 40 millionth person in the world who has missed their five game parlay by one game. That's how it works. Don't take five game parlays. Ever.

I don't even like three game parlays unless I feel really good about the picks.

I know my wife will have us down for Ark, Tn will be all me. I live in Little Rock with my family and i think Ark can pull it off if they put together the complete games they were earlier in the season.
TN is the safest bet out of all of them for me. I really see us beating the spread because of the younger guys we have on the sidelines waiting to get there chances in. Our running backs alone combined with Memphis' rush defense should put plenty on the board

But I hit the four "hard" choices and the one game I thought was a lock obviously wasn't. That's why they call it gambling... a $20 bet would have paid five or six hundred. I was just there having fun though for my 21st. I won about $300 at a blackjack table and $100 on the slots so I still made a little.

Stick with blackjack or sports bets. From personal experience... I've never lost money at blackjack. But then again I've only played a handful of times. All overseas.
