Maybe because Cut was at ND before he had his heart surgery....Maybe they made a connection....

I don't have all the facts, so I don't know if Jones just upped and left or if Weis just conveniently pushed him aside. However, if the latter is the case then this is where Weis is going to struggle in the college game. To me he seems very uncompassionate at times and it would seem to me that he is beginning to treat some of his players like pro guys. It seems very odd that a guy would just leave after being benched during the first game.

If situations like this continue to rise at ND then no mother or father is going to want to send their kids to a coach who treats them like a piece of meat. Like I said I don't have the facts, so I could totally be off base. Though from Weis' demeanor at times I could see where this could be the case.

Weiss probaly promised him the job when he was recruiting him & when it came time for him to take over Weiss undercut him with Clausen
