ND took it to UCONN today. Parity has come to the women’s game. This is good for the women’s game. Fudd did get hurt early and did not play the second half. Geno lost his cool a few times but it felt good to see ND beat them. I was surprised it was by 14 points. However, ND played well from jump street.

TN fans needs to worry about this team not any other team at this point. We’re 4-5 and headed towards possible missing NCAAT for first time..
Well, you are right there was a tiny bit of happiness on here with a rival losing. But, we know only misery, bitterness and defeatism is acceptable on this site.

IMO, parity had far less to do with the outcome of this particular game than did the fact that CT's bench had three of their would-be starters watching in street clothes (Bueckers, Juhasz and Brady), and then Fudd playing only 13 minutes before ending her day injured and on the bench. If they weren't so snake-bit with injury-- like Tennessee perpetually is, too -- I am 100% certain Ivey wouldn't have gotten her first win against Auriemma yesterday. I am also 99.9% certain that if Jackson, Franklin and Hollingshead had been available to play yesterday we'd have been happy today to have watched Tennessee get a great win instead of a loss.

We shouldn't be "chasing mice while our house is on fire." Uconn is far far better than us. Wat we need to be doing is worry about us & hope that's not end of R.J

Seldom do I need to feel the need to defend UCONN but thats a pretty thin team IMO, but Fudd went out, no Dorka and Paige is out as well. That is all too much to overcome a pretty good ND team on the road. Even with the disappointing loss to Maryland, thats easily a top 15 team. Its loaded with talent all over.

Its no big deal to them in the grand scheme of things. They have quality wins over Iowa and NC St. Now if Fudd is out long term, I do think they are in major hole unless another player steps up significantly. I predict they will be fine. When you lose a major player mid game, there isn't much you can do in that moment. Long term, you can at least start preparing differently to maybe help offset it some.

Thats why I pray for the health of our time all the time. Staying healthy requires some luck, a key injury really could devastate a season

It's what happens when a once premier program has been mired in mediocrity--and often less than that--for 15 years.
