NCSU knows what theyve got coming

I dunno, maybe I'm getting old (I'm only 31), but I just feel like these kids should have a better ability to not make retarded choices. Throwing beer bottles is one thing (Bray), but when you're given the sun and moon and you piss it away (literally), it just grates on me. I swear sometimes it's like they don't have a brain.

Yeah, from all the analysts (read David Pollack, Belloti, some other stupid homers/haters on ESPN, etc.) that discuss the game:

Glennon's giraffe neck makes him able to see the field like the dudes in the Michelin blimp (Yes, I know we're in playing in a dome)

Amerson is the second coming of Charles Woodson

Despite a completely gutted defensive depth chart, no real receiving threats, hurt running backs, etc...NCSU is going to roll us.

I'm not buying it. We are more athletic, and likely more experienced, at just about every position on the field, and our team has been battle tested in the roughest conference in the nation.

Not buying that this should be ANYTHING but a ole fashioned Vol beat down.

At this point I'm glad he is gone.

To some degree, I can see where you're coming from. I'm glad we won't have to constantly hear rumors every week about whether or not he's on the team, suspended, fighting with coaches, etc. On the other hand, DR was pretty much the only player on the team who has proven on the field that he is capable of performing at an elite level in the SEC. From that perspective, he will be sorely missed.

This pic makes me sick.

If you think this picture makes you sick...try being a TTU football alumn. When I first heard this news, I wanted to remove my name from any and all remaining records that I am still associated with. I do appreciate what coach Brown has been able to accomplish and I am glad he's put a quality product on the field but I do not subscribe to a win at all costs strategy. I hope he gets his year over and moves on quickly. Please do not leave the same drama filled mess in cookeville that you left on the hill young man.

Hi VolNation.

The comment about the predictable play calling was spot-on. We hope (for the Wolfpack's sake) that Bible can shake things up a little bit. Easier said than done though with our inexperienced receiving corps. However, Glennon is capable of finding targets, wide open or otherwise, down the field when given the chance to sling it.

NegaWolf, LOL! That's a keeper.

I don't know much about your program at all, what's the deal with your OC? And believe me, we have felt your pain. At least you never had to put up with Randy Sanders!

1) We have a ton of depth on the D-line, and basically our entire secondary is returning from last year.
2) You will find out who Tobias Palmer and Mario Carter are on Friday...
3) I don't know of ANY of our running backs that are hurt right now. So, I'm not sure where you're getting that info, or if you're just making it up.
4) I haven't heard anyone seriously say that NC State is gonna "roll" UT. Maybe it's a popular upset pick right now, but you are certainly exaggerating.

Also, the most common argument I've been hearing from the Vols fans who think they will win in a blowout is something along the lines of, "We have superior SEC recruits and experience, and your team can't possibly overcome that". Well, I looked through UT's non-conference schedules from the past 4 years, and this is what I saw: a 12-6 record (including 2 bowl games); best wins = Cincinnati and Ohio; worst losses = Wyoming and 2 losses to UCLA (a bad/mediocre Pac12 team). So why didn't the superior SEC recruits and experience dominate all the inferior talent?

Can't speak for Packademic, but I don't think our play-calling is all that bad. Maybe a tad conservative sometimes, but not to a fault IMO. Anyways, I would guess that almost every fan base out there has complaints about their team's play-calling.

I know for sure what he brought to the table. We had the chance to be the best offense in the SEC. Still do IMO. But I let his dismissal take a toll on my looking forward to the season. I'm at peace now, and think it's for the best. Maybe not production wise, but locker room wise.
