This is Cal's best chance to win a championship. He doesn't get it here, he never will. UK is absolutely loaded.

I just can't see Vandy living up to that ranking.

Well, I could, but I could see them losing to a 14-seed mid-major as per the Vandy norm.

Also, watch out for Belmont. Considering everything they bring back, they look like, at most, a two-loss team with those two coming to Duke and Memphis. I could definitely see them pulling off an upset at Memphis. They're that good.

I expected to see UConn at the 3 spot, mainly because I completely blanked and forgot Jared Sullinger existed.

That UNC @ Kentucky matchup is looking mighty fun.

Yep, grabbed some lower level FT Line tickets. Looking forward to it.

I just went to look around at prices for them. Not sure I can swing that, much as I'd like to go see that atmosphere.

Both teams are going to be a lottttta fun to watch.

Well, I used my family alumni connection for these, didn't pay the full price. But online they are going for around 600-800 per ticket. Will be electric, thats for certain.

Hopefully my television can fully capture that.

What will y'all's starting lineup look like?

I can totally see them beating Memphis. Wouldn't surprise me.

Makes me excited for basketball to see the polls, for whatever reason. Mostly ready for Christmas break for me though, I'll be attending a few games outside of UT and writing reports on them for the 800 Game Project unless my schedule gets too hectic.

I'm looking forward to the upsets and my 2nd Christmas (tourney).

I'm fine with most of the poll, but I think Vandy is vastly overrated.

Without attempting to remember what Vandy has on their roster, they remind me a lot of Florida last year. Everyone was wondering why they were so high in the polls, they flopped to begin the year, then regained ground and somehow grabbed a 2 seed and went to the Elite Eight.

But yeah, until otherwise proven, Vandy will take that 2 seed and proceed to lose to a Xavier or someone in the second round.

I have the same concerns about Florida and Alabama as I do Vandy.

If I had to pick though... I would have put Vandy above all of them. So that makes Florida and Alabama just as overrated in my mind.

I'm just wondering if this will be Jenkins break out year. Let's just hope he doesn't go all Reggie Miller-Ray Allen-Michael Redd etc. on everyone. This kid is supposed to have that type of shooting ability. Obviously there's a good(great) chance(99.9%) he'll never come close to Miller or Allen but he could at least match Meeks. That's dangerous too

I just noticed Memphis is ninth. I don't know, Pastner just hasn't done a lot for me so far. I can't really see him keeping Memphis in the top ten or around that level this year

Honestly, it's wide open. Probably the ones you can count on for certain right now are Teague, Miller, Jones and Davis. Lamb and Gilchrist are both options to fill the other spot, depending on what type of lineup Cal wants. But in the end, it doesn't really matter, they will all play close to the same minutes. They are 9 deep without much drop off.

Everyone is focused on the UNC game, but many forget that deal with signed with Kansas, Duke and Mich. St. We play Kansas in Madison Square Garden November 15th.

They finished strong but I think top 10 is too high as well. Thomas should make a big difference for them, though

Oh yeah. Definitely huge match ups there too, just like the 1 v. 2 potential in Rupp

A game that's going to fly under most radars is Cincy-Xavier on Dec. 10. It's always a great game, but considering Xavier solidly looks like the best candidate to be the next Butler it's a huge game for them.

The Maui is going to be absolutely crazy.

I'm not sold on Memphis being a top 10 team yet, but the potential is definitely there. Belmont could be a sneaky trap game for Pastner, but he's finally got enough bodies and enough talent to run and gun for 40 minutes like he's always wanted to do. Memphis will be more athletic and more conditioned than anyone they face in the regular season. We'll see if the coaching and discipline have kept pace.
