KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee redshirt senior Lou Brown got some great news on Tuesday morning, receiving confirmation from the NCAA that her Extension of Eligibility Waiver has been approved. She is cleared to play basketball for the Lady Vols during the 2019-20 season.

Hopefully, she will influence were fellow Australian to sign with the Lady Vols since Brown has been granted an extension and the Lady Vols have Harper as the new coach.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!

I really wasn't worried that it wouldn't be approved, though, since she'd come all the way from Australia to live this dream, and then never got to play a single game. The NCAA, I'm sure, was probably particularly happy to approve this one -- and that makes ME happy! :D

She is still planning on coming to Tennessee, and I believe is visiting sometime in May. She has said that there isn't another school that she wants to be at other than Tennessee.

Do you think we will sign a good class? I'm more worried about recruiting than coaching.

I know you’re not one to spill any good inside info before it’s time but have you heard if the last hire will be a big name/home run hire that will make people say “Ok now the coaching staff is complete”. I would imagine this job still draws lots of interest.

Seemed so into the Lady Vols and we need floor leadership, which we have been missing, and hopefully with her experience she can give us that. Isn't there a grad transfer from Stanford considering the Lady Vols?

Great news! Post is again one of my biggest concern (turnovers in general is first) and having Brown will ease those pains a good deal.
