Hate to say it because he's a sleaze, but Oats came out with a great game plan. His players executed it. Whether or not they can sustain it is certainly questionable, but them winning is the best possible scenario for us make our first FF in history. A big IF for us needing to win IF they can pull the huge upset

Possible with that great first half but not necessarily likely. As well as they played, they have a slight lead. Could be the same type of turnaround as Duke-Michigan in the 1991 finals

This may be an unrealistic top 5, but if UNC lets go off Hubert their hot board should be:

1. Todd Golden
2. Nate Oats
3. Dan Hurley
4. Tommy Lloyd
5. Dusty May

Tar Heels are among the bluest of blue bloods, and the only coaches that should be "off the table" are ones that coach at Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky. Lloyd and May are probably unrealistic, but Carolina should still kick the tires (that being said, Oats and Golden would both jump at the chance to coach in Chapel Hill IMO)

I wonder how deep UNC's NIL pockets are? That's seemingly all that matters these days and I'm not sure if they can keep up. Obviously they have MJ but he has a LOT of eggs in the Nascar basket.
