Kim's first year here and she has taken us as far in the tournament as Kellie ever did. That is a good sign for a rebuilding year where pretty much everything about the program changed.

I always thought the change was justified, but that should ease the concerns of others who were more doubtful.

It will be nice to get a full load of athletes on board next year so we can go full bore for an entire game. There will be more growing pains to come since it will be a big freshman class that will have to be relied upon for a lot of minutes. But the upside will be huge.

Amen to that. I've said that all year. Win or lose, they've got that dog in them. A whole a pack of gritty dogs -- and they don't stop chasing. Score never seemed to matter with them, they were always read to pounce. Glad to see them get recognition for it at the big dance.

Well, except for that weird stretch at the end of the regular season. The team looked like they needed a break - and boy the did the break seem to help them straighten themselves out.

So nice to eliminate Ohio State. They embarrassed the LVs terribly be turning them more than they’ve ever been turned over before or some ish like that. Good to see the LVs got to their place, in the tournament, and turn them over and over and over, while swatting their press aside.

And, the LVs gave up fewer press break layups to Ohio State by far than they did in the first round.

I'll contend that the stats noted in red illustrate why CKC's system works. Period.
Those weak offensive stats, while missing the usual offensive contributions of two key players, would have sealed their defeat in a traditionally played game.

I would say Ms Hurst has a very good vertical. You have to to play at Net in Volleyball. Good shooter. Should work out nicely. In CHRIST Alone

Didn't post it, but there's a notorious pic of her on the bench flipping off the Maryland crowd during a loss.

Those are traits that can be channeled into success on a court or field... but the person possessed by those traits is sadly headed for self destruction in the real world. Hope she can find that switch and flip it, to enjoy a long, satisfying life.

I believe State used up everything they had left in tank to come back. Nothing left in 4th quarter.

That is THE plan. Expedited inbounds passes and pushing it up the floor every time, pressing, sometimes all 94 feet, during good runs and bad runs is just the way it has to be to max out the other team’s exhaustion. Deep teams with lots of talent can be a problem, but still our best shot. Can’t get caught up during bad runs or good runs, they both are part of it. Matchups and bounces are what they are.
