NCAA To Smack Tennessee, Lane Kiffin

So much doom and gloom and a big helping of Chicken Little. Unless there is something alot bigger than what has been alleged we will not lose schollies, no bowl ban, no recruiting restrictions (of merrit) on the football team. We are not talking about extra benifits here, and that's where the AA drops the hammer.

Most we will see is probation. I don't even think the Basketball team will be hit with much more than what has already been done internally and by the SEC. At most 1 scholorship loss.

Lane Kiffin never needed to be at Tennessee to start with. Al Davis is a smart man and Hammy should have listened to him or at least googled Kiffin's past....As soon as USC is ready to get off the probabtion he will be gone....

How about if I win, you don't post anything about Fulmer.

Let's make it as follows -- if you win, I won't post anything about Kiffin or Fulmer for a year; if I win, you won't post anything about Kiffin or Fulmer for a year. A win to be defined as anything beyond an "angry letter" to Kiffin or Orgeron for their recruiting at Tennessee.

You're going to want a more specific bet than something with quotation marks.

Im hearing 2-5 scholarship losses which really isnt that big, but also kiffin will be in some deep sh*t depending on how much reaves spills to the ncaa

What kind of penalties can we realistically expect for the football program?

I'm hearing probationary period (2 years maybe), loss of scholarships and recrutiing restrictions on coaches. Not sure any of this turns out to be true but that is scuttlebutt.

Probationary period ??? What exactly does that mean ? Can we go to a bowl game .. If we had good fortune and plays for it all would it count ?

Probation basically means 'don't screw up because we're watching you.'

Can't screw up while on probation, or sanctions can be harsher for any such screw-up.

Can UT take out a lawsuit on Kiffin and his "crew" for there actions?....

Looks like we need to with this new stuff they are reporting now on the tryout. this does not look good for us. I just wish this ncaa thing was over and done with and that we could move on, we are TENNESSEE and we will surive, GO BIG ORANGE.

You've missed a lot of NCAA sanctions cases then. When the p.r. is advantageous for them, they've cut scholarships, visits, and off-campus recruiting for no more than improper off-campus visits. See Colorado under Slick Rick.

I think you've won already, VV.
