NCAA to allow messages on jerseys

Incorrect. You confuse not supporting as being scared of.

So you dont agree with the KKK, thus you're scared of them. Got it.

You’re pretty dense. You’re scared of being offended by something you don’t support because it should be about “educating young men” or something like that which is a laughable claim to make on your part. Also you’ve already agreed that the KKK example you came up with is ludicrous so not sure why you brought that up.

You cant even follow your own logic. You're scared of the Klan because you dont support them. Stop being such a scared little snowflake, boy.

The KKK example was to point out the extreme end of the continuum. A continuum that you laud the NCAA clowns as being able to be competent caretakers of.

Lol ok

See how much in fighting this has caused and supposedly we are all fans of the same team here. That's why (to me) it has no place in sports. I don't watch sports for a politics or social injustices. I watch sports to be away from all this.

Relax, folks. These are turbulent times and many people are hurting. If someone feels like he or she might feel just a teeny bit better by putting some lettering on a jersey, let them do it. As an adult, I have free will to either appreciate the lettering or ignore it. I don't have the energy or the will to criticize whatever little things others are hoping will help them get through all this madness. People are desperate to find something, anything, they can feel they have some control over these days, and in my opinion, putting words on a jersey is probably the most benign thing they could do.

Watch the games if there actually are any, and try to enjoy knowing that our American young people have a voice. Whether you agree with what they have to say with it or not is beside the point.

That’s just what I personally want. Politics all you want outside but when the game starts all that business ends...

There‘s fighting because hypocrites don’t like being exposed for all to see. It’s actually pretty revealing

I love how so many on here bash millennial snowflakes for being offended at everything and now that the tables are turned most of you are hyperventilating over seeing a 2 inch logo on a jersey from your couch at home.

This is comedy gold

If players feel the need to comment on social justice issues there are plenty of social media platforms to do that, and I would assume some, if not most, already do, which is their absolute right. Most of pro sports leagues and ESPN have already decided to go woke. It would be nice if we could at least keep politics out of college sports, because social justice is a political tool, like it or not. And as can be seen from this thread, the only thing that will come from this is further divisiveness among fanbases.

I wish politics were out of everything except politics, but that’s not realistic. It is what it is. The bottom line is that many on here, like allvol123, are outraged over a 2 inch patch on a uniform so much that they are vowing not to watch Vol football like some Ivy League snowflake freshman protestor, all the while bemoaning how everyone is offended at everything on other threads. Funny to watch when the tables are turned on these weak minded hypocrites.

What it really boils down to, though, is that some on here don’t want to see a PLAYER they are rooting for support something they don’t. That’s what makes them uncomfortable, not the NCAA, the PLAYER. They don’t see them as people with causes they are passionate about, just ball players wearing the right uniform that are there to entertain them and give them a victory for Tennessee.

Actually it is realistic. All Emmert had to say was no social commentary of any type on uniforms. And that would be the end of that.

When all other sports are doing it including flag kneeling, its not hard to see why college athletics does too. They don’t want to be the one entity telling them no.

By the way, get ready for rampant flag kneeling at all college football games (if played). Even coaches will join in.

Didn’t see it at Hockey games..

Just because pro sports does it doesn't mean amateur sports automatically has to follow suit.

You’re whole argument is based on your fear that the NCAA will allow a player to wear a KKK symbol on their uniform......and you think you won some sort of message board argument with that? Keep going snowflake, this is getting good

You are literally stupid. No it isnt.

You're the snowflake. Scratch that, a snowflake has more intricacy to it. You're the snowflake after someone steps on it.

You laud the NCAA approval also. So you're the tender child that needs the messages filtered.

If I see that scum George Floyd's name on the orange shirt I'm going to be sick. If they want to pay respect to Breonna Taylor then I support it
GF was not an EMT but he didn’t deserve to die for passing a fake $20. Do you always have problems with black men? Guessing the answer is yes.

You’re trying to project a title on to me that has already clearly been branded on you because of what you’ve posted in this thread. It’s very transparent and everyone can see right through it. I’m not the one threatening to not watch football because of the micro aggression of seeing a 2 inch patch on my favorite team’s uniform. That’s YOU, partner. Go find a safe space somewhere, your gig is weak

Your logic was so poor that when used on yourself you ran like a little girl. That is when it is time to reconsider your poorly constructed thoughts junior.

Your logic being if you dont support something then you're scared of it. So now you're scared of everything you dont support junior.

No, you're just the one so ignorant that you need your footbaw no matter what in order to satisfy your pitiful life.

I really like the whole "everybody's doing it" argument, very intelligent.
