NCAA Regional Thread

Vanderbilt almost with a huge choke job in the bottom of the 9th
8-1 lead and the tying run comes to the plate with nobody out then a strikeout and double play ends it 8-5 final

16 teams have been eliminated ZERO SEC teams so far.
4 SEC teams face elimination today
Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M
6 teams are in the Regional Finals
Vanderbilt, Miss St, Ole Miss, LSU, Ark, Auburn
Predictions 2 of the 4 teams facing elimination lose today and 2 force a winner take all game tomorrow
5 of the 6 finalists win today

Not looking good for A&M- down 4-0 in the fourth with a lightning delay now.

MSU wakes up in the 4th. Those habe to be the worst uniforms in the tourney though. I think I wore something like that in the 80s playing little league.

Tell of the tape
6 SEC teams advance to Supers all 6 came through the winners bracket. All Home seeds but 1 advanced and all road teams but 1 didn’t. 9 out of 10 made the Region Finals.
It just shows the importance of both home field and advancing through the winners bracket.

Vanderbilt hosts Duke
LSU hosts FSU
Ole Miss at Arkansas
Auburn at North Carolina
Mississippi St hosts Stanford or Fresno St.

This shows the ridiculous ACC/SEC matchups in seeding as the committee is determined to keep them from dominating the field in Omaha.
5 Regional Finals matchups were ACC-SEC
G Tech - Auburn
NC - Tenn
Florida St - UGA
Duke - A&M
Miami- Mississippi St.
Now 3 Supers matchups are. It seems to idea is to let them eliminate each other before the CWS

SEC still has the possibility of getting 5 to Omaha 1 is guaranteed.
I predict 4 make it.
