Does the NCAA play favorites? - College Basketball - Rivals.com

Duke is above forfeiting games or any punishment, even when a player lied and later admitted taking money before enrolling at Puke. Just a matter of if they are going to punish some schools and coaches, equal treatment regarding punishment would be respected. Still an open investigation on Duke and Maggette? give me a break.

How could you suggest such a thing? There is nothing the NCAA has ever done to suggest favoritism.....:whistling:

The NCAA is consistent in always treating all institutions fairly. Being a school that is a star in a particular sport plays no factor in NCAA investigations. Like USC, it simply takes years in some cases for them to complete an investigation. They have a lot of investigations going on, for some schools that never win, decisions can be made very quickly.

Right. The world will literally fall out of orbit before AA' ever releases anything on the Maggette investigation. It will continue to be swept under the rug.

Let me put it this way. If an NCAA official was standing at point A, and he received two calls at the exact same time that Duke had committed an infraction at Point B, and Tennessee at Point C, which way do you think he goes first? It sure as hell isn't Durham.

If found guilty and punished the NCAA is petty consistent in the punishment, I will say that.

Exhibit A of the 'AA's fairness was West Virginia and Kentucky being placed in the same region in the '10 tournament while Duke played Bearden High School, Lincoln Memorial, Transylvania, and Tufts in their region.

That was crap. I can't remember exactly what Huggy Bear said during the selection show about that, but he wasn't happy.

Yeah, I remember the comment, but not the words. I do remember reading his quote to the Official about Duke while Butler lay in pain on the floor.

"They don't foul, right, John? They don't foul. An All-American laying here and they don't foul."

Butler was an outsider in that game. Only Duke would properly carry the NCAA banner.

Dook will continue to rape and pillage on the defensive end of the floor, without interference.

Its a well known fact priviledged caucasian kids with good GPA's don't foul.

Tell me about it. My Bears were raped down the stretch by the Zebras to bust open a tight game and hand Duke a seven point win in the Elite Eight...phantom tech call resulting in a 5 point swing. With any luck we will see them in Houston again this year. The Chosen Ones must fall some time.
