if you go to the website for next years football game EA SPORTS NCAA® Football 08 Home Page and go to screen shots there is one of the Vols in neyland stadium... it looks like we are playing cal, which i know doesnt make sense but it has a DB from Ut getting beat for a catch by a Cal WR..
Anyways, the UT DB is wearing #4 ... ive heard Berry is going to be #1 so whos wearing #4? McKenzie? WIllingham?

Gerald Joooooooones!!!! is wearing #4. They might have just used last year's players for that. Some of the earlier screenshots they do that with

no I meant that McKenzie or Willingham (the two DB's) could take #14 and Creer (the RB) could wear 20 or 24:thumbsup:
oh ok i get it... does ayone know the deal with the SS position... does Parrish have it or is it open to McKenzie or someone? I was watching a McKenzie highlight reel today and he is a beast in the secondary

I've heard McKenzie at SS and Berry at CB with the other CB spot up in the air. Only thing that worries me about McKenzie is he wants to knock the snot out of ya every play and might not last the whole season....but you gotta love a guy like that, that's going to give it his all every play

yeah if we can have Hef back there looking to pick passes off and McKenzie there looking to kill someone we could scare some WRs ... is it Gaines/Mar Johnson competing for the other CB? didint one of them have an INT or something inthe orange/white game? or was that someone else maybe parrish/wardlow?

If I had to guess on the numbers...I'd say

O'Neal = 3
Vinson = 11
Creer = 20
McKenzie = 14
Willingham = 24
Paige = 82
Anderson = 9
Cooper = 45

again these are just guesses/gut feeling

I heard after the scrimmages Parrish didn't do so hot. If I was guess I'd say it would be Gaines to start at CB since he's had more playing time

well gaines was the one who during the bama game in .... 05 after anderson fumbled into the endzone, croyle attacked and completed a 40 or so yrd pass? Gaines had great coverage by the way but thats how i remember him. lets hope he has stepped up and we can now bring LBs on blitz's

yeah that was him, but if you look there's a questionable push off made by DJ Hall, the Bama WR

This is exactly the kind of attitude that we need on defense, particularly in the Florida game. We've got to bring the pain, get in their head, blow up their mickey mouse spread option and play true smash mouth football. Manhandle their WRs at the line, don't give them a push off the ball, have our LBs unload on the backs trying to block. Get back to playing pissed off take no prisoners Tennessee football. SS is a great position for a headhunter, I hope McKenzie fits that bill.
