Do you all use Tennessee's playbook?

Also what are your favorite plays?

:eek:lol: Of course I'm kidding. Trouble is: SOME people actually have to work and haven't had a chance to check it all out yet! I've got to get the "juke" moves down before I can really make the most out of the runs, I think. It's quite a transition from Madden which uses the triggers.

I don't play online, so I will divulge my favorite plays.

If I've got good linebackers and safetys, I like running Dogs Zone Blitz a lot from a dime package. It does a decent job of shutting down most running lanes/pressuring the QB and maintaing decent zone coverage. Other than that, I just like to run 4-3 and Nickel and call the play depending on the situation.

On offense, I'm all about rushing. Lots of counter plays against crappy d-lines. I'm not a big fan of tosses, so I barely ever run those. For the most part, my offense style is a combination of running up the gut and west-coast style passing. I usually run on first, pass on second, run on third, then run on fourth and less than three, or pass on fourth and three or more if I really need to finish the drive.

I can't seem to get Simon through the line to pressure the QB against decent teams. He killed UAB, but was pretty ineffective vs the Gators and Tigers. Any tricks?

Also, anyone figure out how to get a shot at FG blocks?

The game's AI also reacts to impact players, and Simon is one, right? They are keeping an eye out for him. Instead of blitzing him, put him on man or zone coverage and blitz our other linebackers. If you keep blitzing the same guy all the time, they'll start covering him more.

And no, I have never successfully blocked a FG.

I have had more luck blitzing Gaither.

I am having a hard time with my offense right now. Recievers dropping passes or I throw into coverage and Riggs is either killing it or can't do a thing. I suppose I need more practice.

I've already made it through a season. Riggs won the Heisman, which means I ran the hell out of him because Ainge was not very consistent, and eventually got hurt.

BTW, FSU's defense is stout on this game. I played them in the Rose Bowl, and nearly got beat because of turnovers that they runed into tds.

FSU does have a good defense. I think Ainge is underrated in this game. He's only an 80, I believe.

I use playbook of whatever team I am using at the time. I don't need my own playbook, I feel I can audible and adjust however I need to during the game.

So milo is the only one to give any favorite plays?

I just played a game with Utah today and have begun to rethink my strategy a bit... Their new QB is pretty quick but cannot throw very well at all. I was forced to run the ball and it was tough trying to keep the defense on their heels that way.

Understandably so... a balanced attack is always best. Then again, everyone knows that the Vols are a power run team, with play action passing, but they just can't stop it.

Another problem I've had (esp. vs. UF and LSU) is that the defense is already on top of Ainge by the time the play-action materializes. Most of the time, I haven't even had a chance to get the ball off. I shredded Georgia last night with it, though.

Seems like the slants or corner routes work best off the PA. The d-backs will often freeze for just long enough to allow the receiver to cut -- then you can just zip it right in there (for a slant) or toss it over the shoulder for the corner.

I've only used UT so far, and with Gerald Riggs, my favorite play has been the HB Smash over the left side of the line. He was unstoppable on the play through my first season. The only teams to slow him down were Bama and FSU. I still got over 100 yards against each of them, though.

They do get a lot of pressure on PA passes. It get's annoying. But it keeps you on your toes and you have to use good timing with when you choose to call PA passes.
