Ncaa 14

The only one who sometimes you just come into the game and it doesn't really matter what you do it's like the game is already predetermined that you're gonna lose. And it's not just this year's edition either. It's been like that for about 10 years now.

Just played South Carolina and no matter what I did I couldn't stop their offense and my offense just couldn't do anything right.

I also love it when your quarterback is throwing the ball and he's at the point of release, gets hit, and somehow he magically defies the laws of physics pulls it back in and get sacked.

Are you using sliders?

Okay, fair enough.

Look, I do love your guys' roster and know you do a great job. I personally don't even care they were a day late. And I should have noticed that the mods were the ones shutting down everything. My mistake. :hi:

Sorry for the harsh response. Your post just kind of rubbed me the wrong way.

Hope you enjoy the rosters.

Thank you.

:hi:

You guys are awesome.

Can you tell me more about the team? How many people are involved? What's the methodology behind building the rosters? Do you get together and discuss the teams, read up on preseason mags, and keep up with spring news/results? Then develop a spreadsheet and go through with controllers one by one, updating each player.

That's my best guess . My roommates and I did that with the top 25 teams when I was in the dorm and the first couple of years of undergrad. I thought THAT was time consuming and tedious. I can't imagine ALL of the teams.

Either way, you guys are awesome. EA should have to pay you guys like 15k a piece.

I'll try to answer each questions.

We have 7 people on the team. We each just pick out a number of teams that we are familiar with and that we want to edit. Some took more than others, but we had about 15-20 teams each.

We do have a spreadsheet where we put all our information on teams. Each team has a page and we also have pages for editing schedules and stuff like that.

For me, each roster has 4 steps. First, do research to determine the most important 69 players on each team. After I pick the 69 players, I go back over the team and fill out information like height, weight, number, year, ect... Third, I go back over each team after Teambuilder is released and match up the players in game to the players we want them to be. The final step is actually inputting the information into the game.

4/7 of us (including myself) purchased EA Season Ticket and began editing on the 5th. The other 3 began when the game released on the 9th. With a few hours exception during the middle of the night, someone has had the roster and been working ever since then. Of course, only one person can be editing at a time.

Hopefully that answers your questions. I really enjoy doing it, even though it does wear you out. Having realistic rosters makes this game 10x better.

There were some idiots on there complaining about Charlie High and some other low rated recruit not being on there. I was like they got the big names guys on there.

What people don't realize is that we can't just add players. Each roster is maxed out a 69 and to add a player you have to remove someone else.

IMO, there isn't a player on the roster that is worth removing to get High, Vickers, Pickett, Swafford, ect... on the roster.

can we use your username for the roster, topfan? or should we use the one from the first post of that OS thread?

14, I wasn't even mad at you guys, I was more upset with the mods because they weren't being 100% honest with people and shutting down when asking what was going on. I shouldn't have brought up the donations.

Downloaded them. They're great. :hi:

Agreed, some people are just a pain in the ass.

1. Dreads were only given to players with long dreads. The dreads are so long in game that we decided that players with dreads just barely coming out of the helmet would not have dreads in game.

2. The coaches were all re-rated so the ratings would be more spread out. We also wanted more separation between head coaches and coordinators. Now when an OC/DC is hired as HC in dynasty they won't start out as better than half the head coaches. I would recommend you use slow development in dynasty. It seems to provide the best progression for CPU and user coaches.

Yes. It's not dumb. I only play online and I am not playing with another team than Tennessee. Why would you play with any other team?
Just to match up. I use other teams other than UT, it's not like your sporting Bama gear on game-day. What's wrong with picking Toledo to play against Washington St? I do use UT a lot(well did) as their rating is decent enough to take on most teams without being severely outmatched or over-matched. IIRC only 30 or so teams are rated higher. I listed the ratings for each player somewhere in this thread. Really though, even if the only team you use is UT then part of the fun is being the underdog and upsetting the better team. Do you send ill remarks to people who beat you?

You can win with Tennessee if you are good.
Then what's the problem?:ermm:

That option read is stupid. Even when I set players to spy QB they still bite on the fake (just like the other 10 players did) and he gets 6-10 yards before anyone touches him.

If Tenn is rated B or B+ it's not bad. Not i was just wondering what our rating was on 14. I love playing the underdog as UT you are am underdog more often than not. And why would I send ill remarks to someone who beat me?
