I just recently got a PS3 and NCAA 12 football. I have wireless comcast high speed internet, but my wifi here is messed up right now but i'm getting it fixed tomorrow so i've been plugging a ethernet cable from the router into my PS3. I have no trouble connecting to games and getting started, but it seems that i have a delay. Like when i press X to snap, it snaps a second and a half later and all my movements are delayed. I'm not sure if it's my tv, or if it's just my internet. Help would be much appreciated :hi:

There is a degree of lag when playing online depending how good the connection is between the 2 people playing.

Open whatever ports you need to use your router on PSN or just direct connect from your modem to PS3 when playing online.

So the other person is experiencing the same lag?

Yes. Even if you have a great connection it will have a tiny bit of lag & if it's worse the game will stutter a bit & really be unresponsive. If someone's connection is too bad it will crap out & they will get a loss. If you're winning when the other persons connection does this you get a win. Of course the same can happen to you as well.

Alright thanks. It's just hard playing with the lag. Defense is hard and so is passing the ball because when you press the button to who you want to pass it to by the time the signal makes it over the receiver isnt even open anymore.

Sometimes you have to anticipate. I know it sucks.

Sometimes it's not that bad. If it's real laggy & early in the game request a friendly quit. The guy may or may not accept it.

I just wasnt sure if it was normal or not. I know getting a good kick is near impossible. I get like right below that line thats at the top pretty much everytime

You get use to it & get the timing down. The kick meter is usually a good barometer on how good the connection is.

i've played just 2 games so far. One game had a slight lag, but then the next had a much worse lag then the 1st. So like you said, it just depends on the connection between the 2 players.
