Scouting report on checkmate:

He runs 4 and 5 wide every play. He'll audible into double crossing routes 90% of the time with a couple of post corner routes thrown in for good measure.

As soon as he snaps the ball he runs straight back, straight towards the sideline, or back and then to the sideline.

He runs a three-man front every play and does the show-blitz crap every play.

Whip his ass.

Well I didn't. Didn't know what show blitz was but his D was pretty good. His offense is all 5wide which I couldn't stop.

I didn't realize y'all had played. If you run a 5-wide you just chunk it down-field 3 times and hope to complete one. It's backyard football, not sim-style which is what this was supposed to be. You can't stop a 5-wide on here if you run it like him. If you run a double crossing route across the middle with 2 receivers, have one run a deep post route, and then have 2 run flag routes then it can't be stopped. The defensive AI is too stupid.

That's the definition of cheesing--manipulating the AI and running the same crap over and over.

govols/cc can tell you I did not run any show blitz at all. If he wants to talk about drop backs I can bring that up. I ran the ball 80% of the 2nd half. I ran 0 crossing routes. I ran slants. Turd you lost man. Get over yourself.

I'll rephrase & say his only effective offense is from 5wide. He had 20 something rushes for 57 yards. He was like 7-11 passing for 220 or so. I had a stupid turnover on a punt return where I called a base D & the guy ran back on his own & when I switched to get him away he kept going & caught the ball & fumbled. Had a 4th & goal on the 2 & strung it out wide & had appeared to get in but somehow didn't. His next play from inside his 1 was 5wide. I lost the game early.

Smitty22 advance 38-25. Three int's killed me. I hope he puts up highlights of one of his receivers catch. Bounced off two of my defenders and he grabs it, and takes it to the house. Great game though he had my number tonight.
