NCAA 1 time blanket transfer

I think this may be good for Tennessee. Unfortunately we find ourselves in the position of not having a lot of players other teams would want to poach at this time and we need talent. I would hope our coaching staff will capitalize on this and find those great back up players at other schools who are craving some playing time. Just think, Coach O took a transfer QB from Ohio State and won a national championship for example.

Don't think it would be that dramatic, and it's going to happen. An outgoing coach would not be able to take his whole team with him. There would uproar with the newly employing school over him cutting all the existing players.
They should put a limit on how many transfers a school could take in a year, just like they limit the number you can sign in a class

I think it would hurt programs that stack 4* and 5* players 3 deep at every position. Bama, UGA, Ohio state, etc could lose some of their depth to upper-mid tier programs offering a chance to start. Could work out well for us actually

What highly touted transfer prospect would chose to transfer for TN after what we have seen from Pruitt the last three seasons???

I think it's a great rule for UT-- it would help redistribute upper level talent that's being stockpiled at programs like Bama and Clemson. For 5* talent sitting on the bench at a powerhouse school, the chance of immediate PT at a lower ranked school would be a big lure, and would make CFB more competitive. Aren't we tired of seeing the same four teams in the playoffs every year? --best thing since the 85-rule for competitiveness.

That would probably work. You could even make an exception for schools with depleted rosters....they could take more. Maybe???

I'm afraid of losing qb's that could actually be good. Pruitt and staff have shown nothing to give any future qb confidence, or hope imo.
Not a bad thing. 1 leaves. The others get more reps, thus get better.
