Team didn’t throw the ball much this past season either. Really no qb since Hendon Hooker went to VT. Hookers younger brother should give them more of a passing game this year and Wyman should get more opportunities

the first day of february has been quite fruitful for mike wyman with three scholarship offers from southeastern conference programs.

"bless to receive an offer from (tennessee)," wyman posted on social media thursday afternoon.

Also joining the fold within a seven-hour span were mississippi and south carolina.

Wyman plays at the same dudley high school in greensboro, north carolina, that produced former tennessee cornerback emmanuel moseley.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound pass catcher wyman ranks by 247sports as the no. 83 player in the 2020 class and no. 20 wide receiver.

From SEC Country:

“The visit went very well,” Wyman told SEC Country. “It’s a great community. Of course, the fan base is huge. The academic side is very important there.”

The academic side of the visit stood out to the Greensboro, N.C., product.

Pruitt talked with Wyman after practice and mainly talked about academics. Pruitt tries to talk with every important prospect who makes their way to campus. He has a knack for knowing what the prospect wants to discuss. If it’s the depth chart, they’ll talk about playing time. If it’s scheme fit they’ll break down some film.

It was smart for Pruitt to talk about the importance of academics, though. Wyman isn’t sure what he wants to major in (he’s only a sophomore) but it’ll play a major role in his final decision.

“Probably the academic part,” Wyman said. “That’s what’s really important. Football is going to end at some point. Mainly what I want to major in will be a deciding factor.”

Wyman hears the most from wide receivers coach David Johnson. He said they communicate regularly and that will probably increase after his junior season and the 2019 class is signed. Tennessee talks with Wyman about the same amount as every other program recruiting him.

Academic angle isn’t lip service with this one. Bleeds out in the quotes.
