NC State postgame presser

Figure the bigger skeptics on here won't bother to watch anyway, but that doesn't sound like a coach who's isn't going to teach this team up from now into January on where our half court offense and full court defense aught to be.

Either those people forget, or never even registered in the first place, that we have 7 girls who just played their first real game against a quality opponent in coach's system. Last year it was squeezing by with a 14 point win against MTSU and giving up 93 against Liberty, but this year they got thrown straight into the fire. It'll hopefully end up being one of our worst games of the season -- and it won't matter as long as we're fighting for a conference championship and matching up well with UConn come February.

We could have really used Ruby tonight, but hey we have standards, so here we are with a loss...🤦🏿
We do have standards and Coach Kim made the right decision. We could've played just a little bit of DEFENSE tonight and that would've won the game with ease. I could've sworn we missed at least 5 wide open three's in the second half. I could've sworn I saw our girls get BEAT down going to the basket and very few FOULS was called on NC State.

Stop being that type of fan!

I didn't get to watch the game but just listening to it on radio. To me and I may be completely wrong but when we hit the 3 and got a "T" and they ended up with giving them 4 points on that trip, I thought that was crucial. We may have pulled away there, it seemed to take the air out and let NC State re calibrate and frustrate the Vols. It may be good to lose early to light a fire, we shall see.

I need to read the rulebook on what constitutes Taunting, versus acceptable smack.

Also, if the coach inquires, I wonder if the ref is required to quote verbatim what the player said?

NC St. scored 32 points off of combined foul shots and second chance put backs, stat per Kim. Lost by 3. Team's weaknesses got exposed which is what Kim said was the purpose of this game. Got what she wanted. If they come out of this a much better team it will be worth it.

I wonder if coach barnes watches these games. 15 uncontested layups when I quit counting. I am guessing he is unable to watch. New school versus old school.

It was my fault we lost, I started watching and we had a 7 point lead. It quickly dissolved to NC ST taking the lead. I immediately turned it off to try to reverse the trend. It didn't work I see. What little I watched, it seemed our ladies forgot what defense means. LEts go Lady VOLS, I know we will be good this year

Come to think about it, I watched the first half with my mom to get her introduced to the team and all, then went home to listen to it on radio. 🤔

Tennman, we owe it to Volnation to approach this scientifically. 🔬

For the ETSU game Friday, I'll be unavailable to watch or listen--so I can be the control. You either listen to or watch the full game, and then we'll examine* the results.

* I'd suggest you also indulge your favorite beverage or food during the game. We've got too much season ahead to establish a successful mojo in November that's dreary.
