NC state game

1) Obviously.
2)See our performances against Florida and Kentucky for a direct illustration. But let us be honest, there is no way on this planet or any in the known universe that you want to compare your secondary (or any part of your team) against that of Bama, LSU, Arkansas, UGA or SCAR last year. Without having an understanding of point 1, it would be hard to make the assertions you are making.
3) Which is why you go to NCSU and not UNC. ;)

1) At least I'm honest, instead of pretending to know your program better than you do...
2) And your all-universe QB did what against those teams?
3) I go to NCSU because I want to do something meaningful with my life and career. I have no interest in a liberal arts major or becoming another corrupt NC politician.

ok,football

1)the only weakness we have is our running game but if our passing game is as good as myself and many think it will be.it will lead to an improved running gane.

2)oline,we have a veteran oline that was ranked third in the league with the third least sacks in the sec. run blocking was a problem.this year the oline looks to be better at run blocking with tougher play.

3)tenn.looks to have one of the best passing games.not just in the sec but the ncaa, with third year qb bray and a host of receivers.hunter, rogers and patterson the wr's.a good to very good te.,and a running back in r.neal that caught quite a few balls himself.

now defence

1)the only weekness i see in the dfense is the lack of depth at lb.4 returning starter in a 3/4.j smith,h.lathers,aj johnson
and c.maggit.
2)dline,was a weakness but we have added a few player that might give us one of the stongest dline's we have had in a few years.3/4.walls de,couch nt and sentimore de.we finally have the depth to make it hard on other teams olines.
with the dline, multiple fronts should also make it hard for teams to run the ball against us.

3)cb and saftey.cb.p.waggner,s.b.brewer and s.b.randolph starters.we only have one cb spot that needs to be filled.i think we may have one of the best group of db's we have had in a while also.i think we have about 5 to 7 players that will be competing for playing time behind the three that i have mentioned.

i know i missed alot and some of this is my opinion.so here you go.whatever i missed,i'm sure someone on here will be more than happy to share their views.GBO

Cool, appreciate the input. Sounds like you feel pretty good about UT this year.

It will be interesting to see how your running game does. I know the passing game looks to be great, so I'm wondering how much you will try to implement the run. I know you said the O-line didn't run block well last year, but I have no idea what you have at RB. Any gamebreaker guys to look out for when they reach the second level against our inexperienced LBs?

Sounds like you just have a couple question marks on defense. I think we will be able to score consistently on most defenses this year, but I do respect the talent and speed that resides in the SEC. The last two games we played against the SEC were losses to SC. First one, we had nobody worthy of a D1 starting QB role after Russell Wilson went out in the first quarter, and we lost 34-0. Second game, we played well, but dropped about a dozen gimme catches causing us to lose 7-3. That being said, I think we are a lot better now, and I expect us to be able to put up some points...7 certainly isn't going to win this game. Just glad this one isn't in Neyland.

What do you think the percentage of ut fans to nc state fans will be in the Georgia dome?

haha Good question.

Yeah, about 70/30. But there are going to be a lot of Auburn fans going as well, 8 that I know so we'll have some support from AU. :hi:

With the amount of orange in the dome it might as well be. It's going to be AT LEAST 70% Tennessee fans IMO

Bray threw for 288 yards and 3 TD against Florida with no running game and one WR. Now we have Hunter back with CPs potential. I'm on mobile so I won't go too deep till I get home.

I understand that it will mostly be UT fans in Atlanta. But I think you're disrespecting your own culture if you think Atlanta will be anywhere close to the atmosphere that Neyland would be like. Your home field is supposed to be one of the toughest places to play at.

A UT fan on another board told me that most of those numbers came with 20 minutes left when UT was already down 30-7. Don't know if that's true though.

1st paragraph, we are good enough to pick up and take a little Neyland with us.

2nd paragraph, that makes it sound even scarier doesn't it?

60-40 Tennessee. NC State isn't moo U, they are a top 80 national university and although surrounded by Duke, Wake and UNC they are also a better school than UT. NC State also places top 25 in schools with graduates that work on Wall Street.

Their vet program is also considered one of the best in the country if not top 3-5. Auburn is nowhere near close to the best vet school in the country. Best Veterinary Medicine Programs | Top Veterinary Schools | US News Best Graduate Schools

Wouldn't put much credit in the Wall Street commentary. Probably engineers in the Ops department, not making investment decisions. Maybe a few but would not think that as placing a lot of folks. The majority of those positions go to Ivy or near Ivy.

so the fourth quarter doesn't matter? Have games every been won or lost in the fourth quarter?

That is actually a really good point...

Of course noone reminded Mr. Max of the dozen or so holding penalties called on UF because their secondary was told to hold b/c they couldn't keep up with the remaining receivers.

I can promise that Bama's, LSU's, UF's, SC's, and maybe UGA's secondaries of last year were on par with, and probably better than, anything NCST throws our way in this game. All this yakking about the pack's secondary is just because it's early August and gives us something to talk about. The 2012 Vols Offense is gonna make this NCST secondary look like what they are.... Inferior atheletically.

NC State wouldn't have a top 5 secondary in the SEC. We played against 5 better ones last year for sure.
